  • TIFWIF, but I hear they're all in the Illuminati, including Calipari. And LeBron's also out on the road recruiting high school prospects for UK.

  • Louisville is not going away ... it's a 4-point game at the under 12 timeout in the second half. It could get very interesting down the stretch.

  • Lance - kids like the stars, think about the pull meeting, getting advice from LBJ, jay-z, drake, WWW (profiled at one point as the most powerful man in basketball and now an agent for CAA - the most powerful agency in bball)....these kids dont nec come from homes with strong dual parent structures ....more willing to listen to these guys

Also ure failing to realize -- LBJ/WWW etc are heavily incentivi$$ed to push these kids to UK -- LBJ owns a marketing company -- what better way to prospect for future clients than have them under his influence/Calipari's influence from age 18, plus WWW is an agent now -- before he was funnelling guys to CAA , now he is likely trying to sign them + throw in Nike prolly is using LBJ to get top tier kids signed to Nike .....huge deal to sign next Durant, Rose, Howard etc -- what better way to feed the beast.....throw all this together and sUK/Calipari have an incredible machine + incredibly well funded actors to ensure kids sign....think about Ant Davis -- he allegedly got sold for $500k -- chump change for LBJ/WWW/Nike if they think the "investment" will result in him signing w/ one of the 3 groups post school

Chris Walker seems to want LBJs advice:

“The whole recruiting process can be a little overwhelming at times,” Walker said. “So many great schools want me to come and play for them. It’s hard to decide.”

To make the impending decision easier, Walker took a shot in the dark and summoned the help of his favorite player LeBron James via Twitter posting: “@KingJames I’m a top 5 player in the country in class of 2013. Where should I go to college Mr. James?”

No response from James as of yet, but based off James’ rooting interests during the Ohio State-Duke game earlier this week, Walker thinks he can guess what James’ recommendation would be.

“I think he’d say I should go to Ohio State,” Walker said.

    But would Walker listen?

“I probably would,” Walker said. “He’s my favorite player, and I would trust his judgment.”

“If LeBron hits me back and tells me where he thinks I should go, I’d do it,” Walker said. “In my opinion, he’s the best player in the league and I really look up to him. Plus, he’s the King. Gotta listen to the King, right?”

  • Not buying any of that for one second. Chris Walker's gonna make his own choice, whether he's bought or not. I mean, unless LeBron's telling him to go to Kansas or Florida. But believe what you want to believe. I'm sure there's some level of influence, but not to the extent you're talking about.

Lance ...im surprised ure skeptical....i thought u followed this stuff closely -- maybe true insiders can chime in -- Bullis? Bullis on record for this already:

Bullis: "how would we know? Also, things change on a dime in recruiting, I have told you guys that MANY MANY times.....it is like you guys refuse to believe that kids, parents, and aau coaches get bought and sold all the time...probably 80-90% of the top 100 kids recruitment is dirty, whether the kid is involved or not, or the parents are involved or not, or even aware...sometimes the kid is on the take, sometimes the parents, sometimes the aau program, sometimes all 3....."

now how do u explain sUK landing consistently 4-5 top 20 kids EVERY year under the Squid? why did a Chicago paper report Ant Davis was sold for $500K? why was Chris Walker spotted at LBJs camp last yr with WWW watching the action in all white, head to toe , chucking it up with campers / suddenly WWW is AntDavis godfather? and not just MKGs?

why was cardinal nation in an uproar after Marq Teague committed to sUK over Lville even though Pitino coached his dad? and when Marq mentioned that he got off the phone w/ LBJ right before committing?

why do u think LBJ is such a "fan" of sUK now? from yahoo Wojo: James befriended Wall at his All-American camp as a high school senior, traveled to campus to watch him play and even enlisted rapper Drake to woo Wall to LRMR, James’ fledgling marketing company.
James’ childhood friend, Maverick Carter, is the CEO of LRMR and responsible for running his management company. Carter’s had a consistent presence with Wall’s AAU coach and surrogate, Brian Clifton, for months, and Clifton offered nothing to dispute the word of sources who say James and Wall are going into business together.

LRMR briefly represented O.J. Mayo(notes) and used James to recruit Minnesota Timberwolves rookie Jonny Flynn(notes) out of Syracuse a year ago. Sources say James has played a significant role in recruiting Syracuse’s next lottery pick, Wesley Johnson.

Wall could soon join LeBron's marketing firm - NBA - Yahoo! Sports

I'm not skeptical of players getting bought. In not an idiot. I've never said Wesley doesn't push players to UK. I'm not an idiot.

I'm just not buying that LeBron is pushing them to UK.

If Bullis or Franz gets on here and says "LeBron is out recruiting for UK" then I'll believe it.

    Until then, not one chance.

i dont get lance how u dont connect the dots on it being in LBJs best interests to push kids to sUK??

he has 100% access to sUK kids by virtue of the fact that Calipari is repped by CAA/ WWW and CAA/ WWW is also LBJs agent/mentor --- LBJ literally can do private "business deals" at Rupp w/ 100% Calipari blessing because Calipari knows who his daddy is = WWW

LBJ has a financial incentive to try and influence top kids to go to sUK so they will further fall under his sphere of influence -- the WWW/Cal / CAA network + LBJs childhood friend brandon Weems is an assistant coach at UK -- "In July, shortly after the camp in Akron, James flew to Lexington, Ky., and let Calipari show him the facilities. James joked about the meeting, calling it his "recruiting visit." Shortly thereafter, Calipari hired Brandon Weems to be a graduate assistant. Weems is one of James' closest friends and a former high school teammate, who James calls a "little brother.""

"James’ childhood friend, Maverick Carter, is the CEO of LRMR and responsible for running his management company. Carter’s had a consistent presence with Wall’s AAU coach and surrogate, Brian Clifton, for months, and Clifton offered nothing to dispute the word of sources who say James and Wall are going into business to"

"According to an NBA league and John Callapari affiliate, a guy by the name of Wesley Woes is in talks working on a deal that would send Kentucky’s Coach John Callapari to the Chicago Bulls along with the signing of Lebron James. “Wesley” is the man who brought Tyreke Evans and Derrick Rose to Memphis (with Coach Callapari). He also is the childhood friend of Lebron James’ agent."

i dont get how u need Franz or Bullis to confirm what is widely written about in media over last 5 yrs?? nothing to "buy" because it is a FACT LBJ is deep in bed w/ Cal/UK etc

  • Kentucky and Syracuse benefit mostly from LeBron. It's not just Kentucky. Syracuse got Rakeem Christmas because of LeBron. Rakeem was all about Florida. His aunt (who he lives with) was all about Florida. Suddenly, Rakeem wouldn't give Florida the time of day and wound up at Syracuse.

Now, the story behind the story here is that Rakeem played for Team Final on the AAU circuit and Team Final is financially backed by Bill Wesley (World Wide Wes). It also just so happens that Michael Kidd-Gilchrist is a Team Final guy ... and so was Tyreke Evans and on and on and on.

  • Also very good points, Chomps. You can understand my wariness to believe a grown man would with his own basketball problems would have the time of day to worry about kids going to a school he never played for.

  • LeBron is joined at the hip with World Wide and World Wide and Calipari are twin brothers from different mothers. I'm not sure what Boeheim is with World Wide. I won't even delve into that gene pool.
