Come on guys...you have to look at this objectively...
............................................Team A..................Team B Regular Season Losses...........1.............................2 Losses Against Rivals..............1.............................1 Division Win............................No..........................Yes Conference Win.....................No...........................Yes BSC Bowl Win.........................No..........................Yes Final AP Ranking....................9.............................10
WE all know we had a great year as a Florida Gator football program. We had exciting games, topped a ton a quality teams, and showed significant improvement. But I would trade our win against FSU for a Win against UGA, an SEC title, and a BCS bowl win any day of the week. Yes, I know winning the ACC isn't as great of an accomplishment as winning the SEC, but FSU isn't IN the SEC...that's the best they could do as a program short of a NC. We had a GREAT year. Team B had a better one.

What?!!! That's not objective; that's ridiculous... you completely leave out any comparison of quality of opponent. Anyone who thinks FSU had a better season than UF, when they both had essentially the same record and UF beat the brakes off FSU when they played head-to-head, has a screw loose.
Fact of the matter is, if FSU played UF's schedule, not only wouldn't they have 12 wins, they'd be lucky to have half that.
Oh, and 1 other thing, an ACC title is about as prestigious as a Sun Belt title these days.
UF played the #1 (NCAA) / #4 (Sagarin) schedule in the nation and went 11-2. FSU played the #52 (NCAA) / #66 (Sagarin) schedule in the nation and went 12-2. And UF won the head-to-head in a romp; there's no question UF had the better season.

That's looking at it objectively.

You're simply taking in consideration only the aspects of each season that favor UF in asking the question "who had the better season" Again, last time I checked they are not passing out trophies for head to head wins, SOS, or exceeding your pre-season expectations.
UF is the better team, that was proven on the field. FSU had the better season.
Try to have SOME level of objectivity and not be a complete homer.

I completely left out things that, after the dust settles, seasons are over and ranking are final.... don't MATTER, i.e. everything you've listed.
Again, where are the trophies for quality wins? Where are the rings for sagrin ratings? Did you order your "we exceeded pre season expectations" limited edition t-shirts yet?!
Yes, we beat the brakes off of FSU. We ARE the better team. They had the better SEASON. You have to be able to differentiate the two to answer the original question.
As for your sunbelt comment, the ACC is probably more comparable to the Big East, you know, where the conference champion whooped us up and down the field came from. Yes, winning the SEC is more impressive that winning the ACC, however, winning your conference, ANY conference, is better than SECOND in your DIVISION.
Nothing you mention MATTERS at this point to ANYONE....unless of course you are reaching for reasons to build a case that UF had a better year than FSU...then of course you need them because that is all you have.
Listen, I love the Gators as much as anyone and I hate FSU as much as anyone, but I'm not a zombie homer. Does this work better for you?
............................................Team A..................Team B Things that don't matter..........W.............................L Regular Season Losses...........1.............................2 Losses Against Rivals..............1.............................1 Division Win............................No..........................Yes Conference Win.....................No...........................Yes BSC Bowl Win.........................No..........................Yes Final AP Ranking....................9.............................10
Team B STILL had the better season.

Not knowing who team A was and who team B was....which season would you pic?

If your answer is team A, you're lying to yourself. If your answer is team B then guess what, FSU had the better season. You are just posing the argument to look better for UF. It doesn't hold water.

It matters who the teams are because not all W's and conferences are created equal.
Not knowing who the teams are most anyone would take a Conference title and a BCS win, as would I. But that doesn't tell the story. You don't see many ACC champ shirts here in Tally.
Knowing the teams, would you trade seasons? Meaning ACC champs not SEC champs. The next time the ACC Championship sells out will be the first time.

We aren't SEC champs, we didn't even win our division. FSU is IN the ACC...they didn't have an opportunity in 2012 to win or play in the SEC. They are in the ACC and they won their division, they won their conference and won a BCS bowl. We are the better team, we had a GREAT year. FSU had the better season.

For the record, I voted for UF in the poll. Because I hate FSU and don't want to lost to them in anything. That said, team B had the better season. I don't care WHO team B is or what conference they play in.

Who had the better year?
