Honestly, had we have taken care of these last three teams convincingly, then beat FSU, we seriously could have had a chance, especially if Bama beats UGA. We'd have the best resume in college football. As it is, if everyone has one loss, I don't think the voters would put UF ahead of Oregon, ND, etc.. Chances are/were slim, but not impossible. The computers are very kind to us but the human voters will do everything possible to make sure there isn't an SEC vs SEC title game.

Margin of victory does not matter in the computer rankings. When we beat FSU, we will be ahead of Oregon, Notre Dame (if they lose), Kansas State, and the SEC title game loser. We can not be jumped. The voters would have to plummet us to the bottom of the top ten to make it happen. Our best friends are the computers. We have not looked great, but our resume will win out.

Human voters MADE it SEC vs SEC last year....the computers liked OSU. Human voters still love the SEC. FSU is ranked behind South Carolina still and USCe has been bad since Georgia. If Florida beats FSU...that is an if..that should be enough to earn the respect necessary. Oregon and KSU have no title games and neither does ND. MOV not being a part of the formula is a savior for us.
