I see it more as a message to Crawford to pitch better. Carmichael's been the best pitcher on the staff this year, and it isn't very close.

Haven't had a chance to see Crawford throw this year, but has his velocity seemed to be down? I remember early on being around 91 but that's expected. Just wondering if he's picked it up or not. Because there's a huge difference between 91 and 95 and allows you to get away with pitches not in good locations. It also tends to take away from the development of secondary pitches because you're trying to blow it by everyone. What have you noticed?
