My point is, how do you go from being the most confident on a kid over every single player on the board to, UF is now fighting an uphill battle and the coaches don't feel confident on him? Just stopping by from the SC board.
I agree with the above quote. Given how often recruits change their mind it's not crazy to think that a mod might have been told by a reliable source, of even NA himself, that UF was a lock only to have him change his mind several months later (for any number of imaginable reasons). So you may have gotten an accurate scoop several months ago only to have Nelson (potentially) change his mind.
Anyways, NA is one of the most impressive young men on the SC board this year. His intelligence and mature demeanor are distinctives amongst the already outsanding group of kids that are already part of the USC and UF classes, respectively. Whoever gets this kid is going to get a good one.

I think you're missing his point. Nothing came up as nobody spoke with Nelson and got a negative quote about UF. It's all speculation, prolly from some site incorrectly reporting he was going to visit, then the site Cartier is referring to finding out he is not visiting (he was never supposed to visit), so trying take that as a negative. If he was never supposed to visit in the first place, how can him not showing up be a worry??? Since that mod was so wrong on Jordan Jenkins I assume he is covering his tracks in case. It's not like anyone all of a sudden gave him negative info from Nelson's camp as he has always made sure they keep things quiet.

I think we just have to settle down, and not be so flustard,
Can an 18 yr old do whatever he wants? Sure
BUT I feel there are a number of things going in our favor
First, we are recruiting his teammate, and we already have a comittment from his best friend (Maye) which is huge
Second I fell his family will play a big role in his decision, the reaspn he played in the UA game was so they could see him play
Which leads to my third point which is location, it is a lot easier to drive an hr n a half from tampa to watch him play then fly 4 n a half hrs to LA to watch him
Does USC have a ton of upside? Heck yeah, but UF has a lot going on too
