Hope your right kb, I don't have a great feeling about this one. I think the first team to 50 wins tonight in a very sloppy game.

Gotta hope they don't have a "game of the year" type game like Arky had. Gonna be tough to match their intensity.

This game makes me nervous for several reasons....
1. This is basically Tennessee's season tonight. They will not make the tournament without winning this game. We need to come out and match the intensity that you know they will have.
2. We are shorthanded. We have a tendency to get tired down the stretch of close road games, and this is only going to be more of a concern with Frazier out. Missing Will obviously still sucks too for everything he brings on the glass, in the full court press, and the depth he provides in the frontcourt.
3. Tennessee just has our number for whatever reason. Even when we were winning national titles we struggled against the Vols. It is what it is.
With all that said, I still think we have a good chance to get this win tonight if we don't overly rely on the 3 ball, get to the free throw line often and convert, and limit turnovers.

I think our record against Tenn the last five games is actually 3-2 in our favor. Pearl definitely knew how to defend Billy well, but he isn't there. Losing two in a row last year stings, but I'm positive one of the losses is because we were hungover from the beat down Kentucky gave us a couple of days earlier.

If we are in the game 10 minutes in, we will be fine. We just can't get blitzed out of the box like at Arky.

''Nervous Nellie's'' - every away game! Our backs against the wall due to injuries a thin bench/experience. Maybe this is a rallaying point for the Gators? Maybe not. This game could define who we really are, what we're really made of.
If we win in Knoxville, Gators win the SEC Reg, Season Title tonight. Then we get all our boys back healthy for Bama & finish strong going into the tourneys.
Probably the most on the line tonight in this single game.
I'm pumped. Let's see if Billy can ralley the MASH Unit!!

I'm expecting to play more zone, or hoping to at least. Man to man d, on the road, could bring on early foul trouble.
Also curious to see how much Billy is willing to press with a short bench, or basically without a bench.
Hopefully UF shoots the ball well, and won't need to create offense by way of the press.

Tennessee can still make the NCAA tournament by winning the conference tournament. I persoanlly think they would still have a small glimmer of making the NCAAs but they would have to win their last 3 games and at least make it to the SEC tournament championship

You never know what can happen in a conference tournament. Vanderbilt beating a worn down Kentucky last year (thanks to us for wearing them down IMO) or Georgia winning the tournament in 2008. I hate to say it but just because we are both in the SEC tournament doesn't mean UT would have to go through us. When teams are forced to play games in consecutive days all kinds of things can happen. Look at UConn 2 years ago. They were out of the NCAA tournament then ripped off 5 straight wins in the Big East tourney. With conference tournaments you never know.
