One of the several things Meyer seemed not to understand about recruiting is that if you sign a kid from NJ, you are conceding some other player from Florida to FSU or Miami. If you make a priority and get the instate kid, the out of state kid you conceded to SoCal or PSU etc does not hurt you until maybe the post season. Worse yet, if you lose a a kid from PA, you often lose the in state kid to Miami or FSU too because he knows he was not a priority.

I'm sure Bell is a fine player, but u stick to your backyard and the proven results and that's the southern kids right in your own backyard and on your street. Don't go into other neighborhoods looking for talent when it's right there
