How many of these kids are from the south? Once again...you want DB's you come to the south. Enough of this wasting time going after kids from Cali and freaking New Jersey

One of the several things Meyer seemed not to understand about recruiting is that if you sign a kid from NJ, you are conceding some other player from Florida to FSU or Miami. If you make a priority and get the instate kid, the out of state kid you conceded to SoCal or PSU etc does not hurt you until maybe the post season. Worse yet, if you lose a a kid from PA, you often lose the in state kid to Miami or FSU too because he knows he was not a priority.

Muschamp seems to be doing the same. One of the deepest years instate in terms of DB prospects and he takes an early commitment from a CB from NJ

I'm sure Bell is a fine player, but u stick to your backyard and the proven results and that's the southern kids right in your own backyard and on your street. Don't go into other neighborhoods looking for talent when it's right there

I was not happy with the Bell commitment especially this early in the year.

Let's hope Bell is the exception and not the rule.

Muschamp DB Recruits in his first 3 classes.

    Marcus Roberson -FL
    Jabari Gorman - FL
    DeAnte Saunders - FL
    Louchiez Purifoy - FL
    Rhaheim Ledbetter - NC
    Marcus Maye - FL
    Brian Poole - FL
    Keanu Neal - FL (verbal)
    Nick Washington - FL (verbal)

Chris Johnson from FL was listed as a DB but I am sure he was a Meyer recruit and Latroy Pittman could very well be a DB. Went hard after Tracy Howard last year as well.

UF is in the mix for Marcell Harris, Vernon Hargreaves, Leon McQuay and MacKensie Alexander all from FL. Not saying we land all those guys but I think he is going in the right direction.

Valdez Showers - MI & Tre Bell - NJ only ones from out of the Southeast region.

Was showers committed before Muschamp took the job? I cant remember.

  • My bigger concern about Bell may be that he came from the same school as the infamous Will Hill
