that police official needs to get his head out of his ass. if i remember correctly it was a rap lyric. im sure everyone said negative things about the cops when they were 18. saying things over twitter isnt illegal. its not smart and its not classy but its also not a legit threat. the coaches have already handled this by banning twitter and im sure having a nice conversation with all the players.
social media is the worst thing to happen to society since the plague. 18 year olds have no filter and no brains, i dont know why people are shocked when they say and do dumb things anymore

I'm not shocked at all, but the only way to change the above is to hold them accountable. Rap lyric or no, stupid as shit to put on twitter. Banning twitter isn't enough IMO, he represents your university and is receiving a free ride.
Btw, don't take this as something against FSU, we've had plenty of players say idiotic stuff on twitter too. Would say the same about them.

true but theres got to be a context. if we started kicking kids out for saying that and locking people up for saying things like this, thered be a lot of kids out on their ass and a ton of people in jail. one way or the other the coaches are going to address this again with the players. my feelings are the same on this whether its a UF or an FSU player. at the end of the day theyre still dumb kids who might not have had positive adults in their life to teach them how to act. we arent exactly recruiting rhodes scholars.
i think the NCAA needs to make all the schools institute something like the NFL rookie symposium. teach these kids things they can and cant do. that type of thing

I know what you're saying and don't completely disagree, but I don't think these kids are as dumb as we make them out to be. They might not be able to pass Chemistry without assistance, but I don't think they're too dumb to know right from wrong.
I think they need to be taught that they'll be held accountable for their actions, they already know right from wrong.
Wouldn't be against the NFL Rookie thing at all, but most schools cover those topics during orientation.
