Absolutely. It is commonly referred to as "little brother syndrome." Noles have a severe inferiority complex when it comes to academics, football, basketball, hell pretty much anything except Circus Studies. Keep in mind many, many Florida State grads applied to UF but were rejected and ended up in Tallahassee, which fuels the fire.
They also definitely have an inferiority complex with regards to ACC vs SEC. When they beat us in 2010 and went on to beat you guys in the bowl game, they were strutting around proclaiming themselves "SEC East champs." Pathetic.
They are impossible to have rational conversation with because they feel the need to bolster their self-worth at every opportunity... typically at the other side's expense. They take everything personally, and make it personal.

it was a double troll. I had the "I'm always a little worried accepting a commitment from a kid when 2 of his top 3 are ACC schools" (since that one flew over your head-i was implying maybe he's not fit for an SEC school) and then I asked how he'd do playing for south carolina vs SEC opponents (on his way home from official to South Carolina now)

they do inspect packages from the mail lady but I would think a gator t-shirt or a gator coffee mug would of been allowed. I'll talk to them when the wife and I go walk the dogs in a few minutes.

It is much more than "sensitive". This is a school that changed their "official" opening date by more than 30 years to make the absurd false claim of FL's oldest state university making it the date someone first THOUGHT about the Florida School for Women (and clowns). Seriously. They opened sometime around 1888, but all of a sudden their marketing material and front-of-school entrance claims 1853, 2 years before UF. I know many Semis that were quite embarassed about this blatant lie. Sensitive? I call it extreme and downright sick jealousy and insecurity.
