  • What was the reason we passed on him?

i'm watching him play...he is a legit D1 PG if you ask me...

  • oh man...i forgot about him...

  • I don't remember the recruitment at all, but there is a gator poster who always chimes in when Larkin does well. Seems to imply that a lot of people didn't think he was good enough for us during his recruitment.

I just text his travel team coach and "they did not think he was good enough" put up similar numbers and same type of play but most considered him too small.

  • No worries, UM got hot to early. Will be bounced in the first couple rounds.

  • Gatormate,

I would agree with you if this was a young team but when u have a veteran Coach and team and the Coach rotates well I don't think Miami would do bad in March Madness, this team has size and can shoot the ball well.

If I recall, Rivers was a verbal so they did not recruit him. He wouldn't have come to UF with Rivers anyway. They also would not play travel ball together. Considered rivals in Orlando. He was good enough to play anywhere, especially Fla.

You could be 100% correct. My only experience on the subject is watching so many teams get hot late in the year, young and old teams and them fall flat in the tourney. Again, alot of that has to do with brackets and seeding as well so who knows.

For me, it appears UM is playing as good as they possibly can right now. So to improve is nearly impossible and to sustain is the hardest thing to do, especially with a big ole bullseye on your back. If however, UM can do that they very well could win it all no doubt, so I guess that is the real question left to be seen.

The Duke UM game coming up sure is gunna be gooden to watch though. Got that one on my calendar with the UF vs UK game. Now if March would just hurry up so we can se how all the chips fall. Good luck!

  • Larkin originally signed with Depaul and I know he was up there for at least a semester before getting a waiver and transfering to Miami
