  • as i said earlier as of now depending on what games it launches with TERRIBLE move by Sony, the company hasnt learned. So many decent games coming out in 2013 for ps3 that might not come out for ps4 and we dont know if we can play ps3 games as of right now.

    Only game that drew my attention was Watch Dogs and the Driving game...

    lol @ blizzard releasing their failed D3 onto console now

    dude if i were you i would of been pissed for like a yr i remember the ps3 launch it was resistance and that was about it as far as good games and resistance was just str8 trash compared to halo 3 and gears or war it was like a yr later when mgs4 came out and cod4 then ps3 finally started getting some good games but that first yr was probably rough as hell after paying 800$ and not really having any good games to play

    i remeber og ps3 controllers didnt have rumble in them either sony thought nobody cared about that lol they changed their mind quick tho

    Not necessarily disagreeing with your premise, I think it still remains to be seen, but they all but confirmed that you'd be able to play PS3 games over the cloud. We'll still have to see how it will work and how extensive the functionality will be.

    Yeah, but cloud is just a lazy ass way out imo. i dont have a shit ton of ps3 discs for nothing that might become obsolete

    People clamor over backward compatibility, but very few actually use it. It either adds cost (old hardware has to be physically included) or it inhibits any radical changes to the architecture. If Sony gave you the ability to "redeem" your legally owned ps3 games for a cloud version, would you be satisfied?

    It's the only feasible way. They're moving to an AMD X86 architecture so they either have to software emulate which will be very difficult and costly (what MSFT had to do on Xbox 360) or they have to add a Cell chipset to get hardware backwards compatibility but those processors are still quite expensive.

    The Last of Us, Crysis 3, Bioshock, Tom Raider, Metal Gear, God of War,GTA these are all just a few titles that could carry and DESTROYYYYYY any launch with the PS4 but if all these are out on PS3 no reason to buy a PS4 yet.

    The 3 could play 2 games so what would make you think otherwise?

    i know :( just dishappy about it, hopefully they will make a way to upload what u have to cloud, im sure they will but my question is how can they prove you bought it, dont had CD keys just barcodes on the back from where it was bought and if its a pre-used game could be a problem.

    Just dont want to have to rebuy ps3 games, i didnt rebuy ps2 games i did rebuy ps1 classics though(ps2 classics on ps3 were terrible)

    There are definitely concerns with it, no doubt. Not to mention there will probably be a small amount of lag.

    We'll see what MSFT announces. 8GB of GDDR5 was a big announcement for Sony, not sure if the next Xbox will match up there. Everywhere else I think they'll be able to match or exceed what Sony announced, but time will tell.

  • I'm going to see what Microsoft has to offer but I probably won't buy any next gen console until 2014. My PS3 and 360 are doing just fine and I'm sure they will still be supported well into 2014+

    The first game I bought with it was blazing angels. That and blazing angels 2 are the best flying games ever made. I recommend grabbing used copies for like $20.

    With all that said, I will probably go the Xbox route this time if folks like EA sports and COD continue to tailor their games for Xbox and simply port for ps3. Also, the MP lag on ps3 COD is unbearable.
