Alligator Alley

I don't like calling any gator "garbage." But, the OL is not good. They are bad. It is a serious problem and needs to be addressed aggressively, regardless of the win-loss record right now.

The OL is very, very bad. Brissett will get eaten alive back there. We need Driskel for his mobility.

This is my only problem with this thread.

Yes, the o-line play has been pretty damn bad over the past few weeks and yeah it is fair to say we have a drought of elite talent on the line. But... something about calling any of our players garbage doesn't sit well with me. For some maybe that's just a semantics argument, but I feel our players deserve more respect than being called garbage or saying that so and so sucks, especially from our own fanbase. The bottom line is these guys suit up for us every week, put their bodies on the line for our University, and put in a lot of hard work throughout the week between football and academics. I admire all of our guys because, as a UF student, I know how difficult some weeks are and I can't imagine practice, workouts, and game prep on top of a course load. It pains me to think about any of our guys stumbling across comments like these, it certainly wouldn't do anything for their confidence on the field or their faith in the fans. I know this sort of thing is standard on message boards, but I challenge this board to be better and appreciate those who show the team respect, win or lose.

I think we can be critical of our team's performance without being disrespectful; see TG's analysis for a model.
