This. We need a 4+ OL class, but it is waaaaay too early for reaches.
I'm assuming they love him if they take him. Of course, there is a track record for taking a kid then cutting ties if he doesn't meet certain conditions.

You start at the top of the board and work down. You don't just take anybody who's willing to commit. It's recruiting 101.

At 265 I can't see them thinking he will have any type of early impact. I don't doubt that they like him a lot but he has a ton of good weight to gain and its hard to put on 40lbs solid lbs in a high school s&c program. He isn't a hoss like McDermott. Coaches probably see a ton of potential and 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 years to develop him. That's all I was trying to say.

You don't take OL for early impact. You want them to develop in your S&C program as well as learn new techniques for 2-3 years if possible.

Also, DJ was one of the most polished tackles to come out of high school in a while, he just lacked some size.
