Alligator Alley

Staver was 2nd on Mississippi State's board behind Cord Sandberg. Staver isn't a typical fit for Mullen's offense (Sandberg is), but Staver is so talented that they would've taken him regardless. Staver knew State was waiting on Sandberg to decide, which Cord did recently when he committed to State. This was before Staver had his offer from Florida, and with the QB spots filling up in the SEC, State could've been Staver's last chance to get an SEC spot should Florida decided not to offer.

Instead of being sour about Cord taking the spot at State the guy sent out a very nice tweet about Miss State and how the coaches there were very classy in how they handled the situation. For a 17 year old guy to handle something like that (seeing what could've been his last SEC offer dry up) with the class he did says a ton about him.

As I told everyone on the Miss State board, there was no QB that we were considering that has more NFL tools than this guy. Apparently he's a true class act too. Great pull for y'all and I'll be a fan as long as he's playing. Best of luck to him as a Gator.
