My immediate reaction is GTFO. But 4th and 15 on your own 30? That would be interesting to see in a game at least once:

NFL commissioner reveals potential new plan in 'TIME' cover story
What would the NFL be like without the thrill of kickoff returns? Fans soon could find out, as Commissioner Roger Goodell says eliminating kickoffs is an s considering.
Why come when wood they sho mercials??
That would be a radical idea. I couldn't imagine from a strategic or statistical standpoint to ever go for it unless trailing big or in need of a huge momentum swing. Albeit I'm sure that being up or down multiples of 3, 4 and 7 would make it mathematically the right move from time to time.
However to this day, NFL teams are traditionally conservative with their playcalling, especially on fourth and short. I I believe that other even more radical ideas could be formulated in some sort of think tank that would make the game even more like a chess match. Very meta game if you will.
Me, I've always liked the idea of no kicking whatsoever. Four downs, score or turn it over. However, scoring from increasingly longer distances would net you more points or something outlandish. I've just never liked the idea of a kicker, who might be called upon for his first field goal of the game, to determine the fate of both teams.

Walk softly but carry a big stick.
Won't happen. Just some BS Goddell was throwing out there.
All kinds of stupid there. Talk about changing the game. If they wanted to eliminate kickoffs, just give the other team the ball at the 20 and be done with it.
Though crazy it would mean any game within 16 is within reach without an onside kick until the horn sounds.
Beatings will continue until morale improves
I believe schiano is not being serious. These men make more money then most can imagine, teaching them to tackle properly would help more then taking away kickoffs. Quit using their heads as the torpedo would make the game safer.
Goons belong in hockey.
