There is no such thing as the 84th man on the roster. It has to do with depth at a particular position that a player plays at. If FSU is lacking in depth at S, suddenly Alexander is no longer buried on the bench, and might be a serious injury and a ding away from starting. Or just one injury if a player is booted in front of him.

I will just say this. From the day he was offered it's been understood by those in the know that Mackenro will not be at FSU without his brother. Now, there are other circumstances that may prevent him from doing so even if Mackensie signs with FSU. It's probably best if that's as far as I go with that however. Do I endorse this practice? Absolutely not, as it treads on setting a dangerous precedent. But if Mackensie can keep his head on straight and develop to the level his talent suggests, then he may indeed be worth two scholarships. As a matter of principal I still don't like it, but I don't operate in the capacity of making these decisions either.
