I don't get all the angst. Thought everyone wanted to see this happen just a month or two ago?
As far as safety is concerned, Muschamp raved about Marcell Harris today, and I think Marcus Maye has a starting spot there pretty much in the bag barring a disastrous spring based on what I've heard.

We need offensive firepower, we'll be great on defense. I'm all for it, and I trust our coaches. We babe to hey dangerous on offense, and find players that scare D coordinators in order to take the next step. Glad to see Muschamp willing to do that, and VH3 will be on the field this year!!

I think this is just a numbers problem at WR for spring practice. Think his main position will still be CB, with set plays at WR, while still being a huge special teams player for us.

Fine with it. Think these coaches are like "hmmm, how can we upset a player, lose more games and threaten my 6/7 figure contract?". No. LP is a playmaker. Give him the ball!

Needs to stay at CB. We already know hes a SEC caliber starting CB. Id rather keep him at CB bc we know what we will get.

Our biggest need next year is to improve at WR. You look at LP to see if he can be a playmaker at wr just like he is a playmaker at Cb. I'm sure that he will play Cb next year but we will find out if he can help at wr in the spring.
We have alot more options at cb and are searching for answers at wr. We are also low on numbers at wr for the spring with only Robinson in early. By trying this you also give the other db's more reps. We could lose LP and Roberson early to the NFL and Watkins and Riggs are seniors.

If we didn't have an adequate corner to replace him for some snaps, Muschamp would do the move anyway, because he's ok with his defense being weak against the pass.
