What???!!! Give me a break, kid. Winning is one thing, losing like a pansy ass bitch against the number 21 team when you are no.3 with the no. 5 defense is another....this game was NEVER close.

No he won't b/c he won't make it past OTAs.

Bottom line Driskel hasn't improved all year. From game 1 to today, he looks like the same inconsistent QB who isn't a great leader and not a great passer. Same poor pocket presence resulting in sacks for huge losses. Has no footwork nor ability to feel the rush. He locks onto the first receiver from the snap of the ball and he holds onto the ball way to long. He is inaccurate and inconsistent.

It's not all on him. The offensive line has been blown up all year by DE's on the pass rush and they have given up way to many sacks. Play calling has been inconsistent as well. Receivers are average at best but its hard to tell when we throw so little and throw such short passes with routes that aren't set up well for big YAC. Most of the balls that are caught have the receivers stopped in a hook or curl without any momentum to take the pass for big yards. We never complete deep flys, deep posts, or deep flags. Never complete anything deep for the most part. All ding and dunk were the received forward motion is stopped. Very different from the Percy Harvin days when the short passes were designed to keep the receiver moving full speed and get huge yards after catch.

With all that said, I feel that we had a very successful season and exceeded my pre-season expectations. We won with great defense, grit, and toughness, but we need a more dynamic offense with a much better passing game to keep defenses from stacking the box. I'm not sold on Driskel and I'm not sold on our boring ball control, run first offense. I think next year we will be hard pressed to beat this year's record and to win the SEC, let alone the BCS championship. I just don't see Driskel taking us to the promised land and unfortunately we don't have a top QB recruit coming until 2014 and he will take a year to get his feet wet.
