Laremy Tunsil to Ole Miss

    To make matters worse they just offered a 3* kid that was once committed to William & Mary. lol

    But to his credit he got late offers from NCstate, Okie and UT.

    Sill funny as MF.

    George Adeosun. Kid is good. Has only been playing for one year. He shut down Carl Lawson in their matchup. He has picked up a lot of offers but is most likely signing with UVa.

    It seems like everyone was talking about Tunsil this morning and I looked at some SEC boards. UGA sounds like they are about to fall apart over this one kid. You guys here seem pretty happy he is to ole miss.
    Is it that much of a surprise tho, to go to Ole Miss? I mean, Fla. Georgia, Bama are stacked and he wont start for a couple years. Ole Miss had a good season and he is probably at least third best on that OL today as a HS senior.

    Dont follow ole miss ball that much, but playing in the SEC west, chance to start frosh year, I thought was what sold this kid. I could very well be wrong, it might be $$. But I never heard of ole miss forking out benefits in the past.

    UGA could offer him everything Ole Miss can, they are a better team, and they have been his leader and favorite up until yesterday. Just a little fishy.

  • I hope they're not cheating as the SEC doesn't need any bad publicity. Dan Mullin could be in some trouble if Ole Miss continues recruiting at this level.

    Not true, they need to stock their whole roster with 4 stars and underrated 3 stars to be able to compete for a SEC championship, IMO. If they recruited like this for the next 3 years, they MIGHT have a roster like Bama or UF. They could pull some upsets along the way, but A&M, BAMA, and LSU are all ahead of them in recruiting THSI YEAR, and way ahead over the past several years (except for A&M).

  • An Ole Miss class like this one must happen at least three out of four years. Once every 10-15 won't cut it.

    He obviously is showing to be a very good recruiter, it's just human nature to think cheating whenever someone on the level of Ole Miss is pulling in guys like they are. They could be on the up and up, but Ole Miss doesn't have a lot of history getting these kind of caliber players, at least not in the same year.

    Which is why I said if they keep doing that. If they sign a class like this the next couple years, they will be contenders eventually. Remember they knocked us off in the Swamp in '08. They have to start somewhere and roping in all these blue-chippers sure is a good start...

    Maybe I'm naive, but I don't think there's anything fishy going on there, at least not any more than usual to recruit in this league.

    Freeze is a helluva recruiter and the stars aligned for Ole Miss this year. Much respect.

  • "Insider" on the UGA ESPN site said Tunsil was turned off by how the players and students carried on during his OV. Too much underage drinking and his host was "thugged out and high" is the report floating around.

    Also, said that Freeze was pretty shady at Memphis and had some issues that the NCAA looked into.
