Justice Winslow-2014 SF

  • I posted this before, but I think we land Winslow. He is a 5* SF out of Texas. Billy D and his dad has a great relationship. Apparently, I am not the only guy who thinks we land Winslow.

Justice Winslow: The Top 2014 Basketball Recruit's Prospect Profile

Here is the prospect profile for the top 2014 SF Basketball Recruit Justice Winslow. Will he be a Duke Blue Devil as well?

  • Great stuff. I would love this pick-up.

  • Give me Winslow, Booker, Allen, Lee and another big.

  • We will need a PG, most likely, (damn you Joel Berry). Would Allen play point? My impression is that he is more of a 2.

Eh, BO will be a junior at this point. Maybe PG isn't a huge need in this class.

Mitch Wilbekin would be a good choice if the coaches want a PG.

  • How tall is Winslow, weight ?

  • I've said for a while we had a great shot to land him. Still a long way to go though.

what bigs are we looking at for the 2014 class?

  • Alexander and Lyles are some names I've heard thrown around a few times. I think it looks good at this point for Allen and Winslow. I think there is a good chance we may get a big transfer after this season though.

  • We had a point guard on campus a few weeks ago but his name escapes me at this time. There is talent in the 2014 class, which our coaches are still evaluating.
JaQuan Lyle is also a PG we are recruiting but he is a head case. He got suspended from school last week and missed the last 2 games. He will be back in action tomorrow night. He is not a Billy D kid. He is a great basketball talent, but has a bad attitude.
Mitch Wilbekin is a kid I really like. I think he has the tools to be better than Scottie offensively. I am not sure if he has that drive to defend like SW, but the kid can play. He was just offered by OK St last week.
Jaylen Lindsey is a kid that is extremely athletic. He reminds me of Cory Brewer. Long, athletic 3 with handles and can shoot. Very unselfish player that makes everyone on the court better.
Justice Winslow is about 6'6'' 205 I'd say. Deadly shooter with good ball skills.
    Trey Lyles...UK-next
Grayson Allen is a very athletic SG. 6'4'' that jumps well and can shoot. Elevates really really well on his jumper.
Cliff Alexander would fit Billy D's system very well. He's a Chicago kid that likely ends up at Michigan State.
Jordan Barnett is a kid that is primed for a huge, breakout summer. We recently offered. He would be a great pick-up as well,
Devin Booker is a 5* SG that can fill it up. He is visiting UNC and Duke this weekend, then he is scheduled to be in Gainesville for the UF-Bama game.
LJ Peak is another Chicago kid that loves UF. He is athletic AF. 6'5'' SF.
D'Angelo Russell is a SG that plays at Montverde Academy. We have offered. He is from Louisville, KY so I think we trail UofL and UK, although UK has yet to offer.

that's all I really know at this time.

SO many guards and wing players lol. not complaining but going into the 2014 season (which is a while form now) as it stands now we will have Harris (as a SR if he stays) and DFS as a JR if he stays and Walker (SO if he stays) we def need a big time Frosh to come in and play from day one or a big time big transfer.

As for the 2014 class, i love Winslow and Grayson Allen to start but we will prolly need a few bigs and maybe a PG if Braxton and Hill are gone.

Im telling all of you guys Braxton Ogbueze is going to be a very good PG for us in a year or two. The only thing I worry about is depth making him reconsider what is best for him in terms of playing time and if this new transfer rule goes through it would really concern me with Scottie and Kasey also at PG next year. Brax was a top 40 player for a reason last year mainly because he is lightning quick. I really feel like Brax may be a Noah type who looks terrible in late game minimal minutes but could really blossom in a bigger role.
