Morris twins, Thomas Robinson, Tyshawn Taylor and Nick Collison are sitting behind KU's bench. As, of course, is Julius Randle.
from local paper - Opinion: KU makes it hard for recruit Julius Randle to say no
Not only that, he watched it sitting among seven active NBA players who played their home games in front of adoring capacity crowds, sometimes including fans who were in the building in the morning watching the ESPN “GameDay” crew do its thing, as was the case Saturday.
Mario Chalmers, Nick Collison, Xavier Henry, Marcus and Markieff Morris, Thomas Robinson and Tyshawn Taylor all sat near Randle.
Well before tipoff, students chanted “We want Randle! We want Randle!” They didn’t mean team orthopedist Dr. Jeff Randall, who happened to be strolling past at that moment. Their knees were fine, and so were their voices. They used them to speak from the heart. They want Randle, and they made sure he knew how much they want him."
Randle and the rest of the crowd caught a glimpse of how much fun the Kansas players have in the locker room, doing the Harlem Shake, captured by a video on which McLemore also looks the most talented. (“With the first pick of the 2013 NBA Draft ... select Ben McLemore.")
After the blowout, Elijah Johnson shared that when he was in the throes of the worst slump of his career he received encouraging text messages from former stars who let him know they had been there, done that, a once-a-teammate-always-a-teammate reminder that surely would appeal to any recruit pondering a college choice."

so looking at this from a distance
UF - interesting UF visit came earlier than UF originally wanted but we got C Walker/ K Hill in mix ....not sure if KU had any of his fellow 2013s on campus
dont think UF had any NBA stars in town that wkend...KU orchestrated the bball atmosphere/ NBA guys in town during all-star wkend to perfection to create a perfect game day atmosphere....ESPN in town also etc
as for on the court -- Self can sell T Rob development / BD can sell the fact he has coached JR successfully/that true comfort level
As for playing time? they lose everybody that gets minutes except Jamari Traylor PF/C and Perry Ellis SF and a PG ...so no question he can start day 1 for KU.......sucks for us IMO - that may be the biggest negative for UF
given he will be fighting for minutes vs DFS/CP/WY and C Walk at SF/PF spot and possibly PY/DH (more complementary given Centers vs PFs)
so comes down to whats important to JR?
debatable which programs staff can develop him better (no D Manning at KU on staff anymore though)
KU - immediate playing time on a likely less powerful/NC quality squad BUT immediate playing time for a bigger name program w/ good but not great PG on roster
vs
UF - more of a complementary role on a Final 4 , top 5 squad w/ a legit pass first top shelf PG

I know it's not what you are saying but I wish Billy D. could use that time to recruit J. Randle some more. If I'm not mistaken that's ultimately how UF got as far in the race as it has. Unfortunately JR will done be signed, sealed, and delivered by that point. I feel we have fell down the ranks some on his recruitment the last couple months with the early visit and such... Jeff or anyone who knows, didn't he OV already? I know he visited. If he come back it would be on his own dime right? Just don't see UF signing him if we don't get him back on campus one more time.
