  • UK fans seem to be growing more confident by the day. Are any of the insiders hearing anything new? Do most (outside of UK faithful) still think it's Kansas?

KU or UK...not UF....UK thinks they get Randle and Wiggins...which would be like 7 top 15 kids in 1 class...easily the best class ever on paper if it happens...not sure how they find PT and shots for all those guys as is, not to mention Poythress and Goodwin no lock to be 1 and done (although both likely bolt anyway).....

Bullis, it is amazing if UK get one of Wiggins/Randle to go with there monster class. i agree i have no clue how PT plays but but its a good problem to have.

I am curious though, if Billy let Rimmer go to go after Randle/Parker i seriously have no idea how he could do this unless he knew Walker was going to get in. If/when Randle commits to KU or UK and we do not get Walker in, we will have very little depth again next year inside. i just dont understand why you pass on Rimmer who will be a player and at the very least provide some depth down low. Donovan put all his eggs in the randle/parker basket and everyone knew the chances of landing these kids would be very very difficult. UF can not recruit against the likes of the bluebloods more often than not.

  • Will know on the 20th! He lets everyone know then. Doesn't matter what the fan base thinks!

you still think the UF staff feels confident on Randle??

  • My brother-in-law has been hearing Randle to UK for a while, but Wiggins to FSU

UK only has 2 seniors so with their current. Class of 6 they have to have. 4 go pro or transfer, and obviously 1 more for each of Randle and Wiggins. Do they have that many?

KS fan base saying the same thing as KY base. Nothing to go on but excitement & hope. Everyone is guessing at this pt.!

probably but could be other things as well!! hopefully we find out as soon as possible!! i hate this waiting game!! would be terrible if he didnt make it in.

  • Gotta think Walker gets in. If Anthony Bennett got cleared it would really suprise me to see an issue where Chris doesn't get to Gainesville

You honestly think there is a chance Goodwin and Poythress stay? I don't see how. Sure Terrance Jones and Doron Lamb stayed to be sophmores and it paid off but a lot of kids stayed in school (Barnes, Sullinger, Perry Jones) after that year due to the uncertainty with the NBA lockout. Lamb is a smaller guard who can shoot so I wasn't really suprised with his decision to stay. Jones suprised me but then again with his character/coachability issues he really needed another year. I still think with no possibility of a lockout, he gone. Also the whole playing time situation. I just cant imagine UK bringing in all these top recruits and being like "well, Alex and Archie might stay and start ahead of you". Nope, theyre all gone. Nerlens, Archie, Alex, and Willie. Cal will tell them to go get drafted

EDIT: looks like everyone but Noel has stated their intent to most likely return for another year after losing in the first round of the NIT to an 8 seed. I'm very suprised

  • Lots of chatter around Lexington that Randle gave a silent verbal to the UK staff back in December. All of their "insiders" are confident that Randle is coming to UK.

    33hoop

  • They always think they're getting everyone. Distance from home + Harrisons= Jayhawk IMO

  • Rumors up here in Lexington is that Noel and Harrow are gone but that Goodwin, Poythress, and Cauley-Stein are leaning towards coming back. They don't want this season to be their legacy at UK. Now of course it's still early and that feeling can go away when money comes into the equation, buts its not out of the question for them to stay along with that ridiculous recruiting class. Most of their bench this year are walk-ons with conditional one year scholarships so numbers are not an issue either. Will be interesting to see how everything shapes up. It may not be a bad thing to be honest; recruits will have to think twice from now on not having the guaranteed starting spot open because everyone the roster clears out every year, idk.

  • MKG also said he was coming back. If they get a good enough grade in the pre-draft, they will all leave.

Where the hell is Harrow going to go ?

  • think WCS has to go pro, no?? what does he gain by staying another yr? cant teach 7 ft / his size/footwork / agility.....staying another yr just exposes him as a kid whose offensive skills do not develop....first rd money is first rd money...its all guaranteed...plus would be surprised if he isnt a top 15 pick, he is better off getting to his 2nd contract as quick as possible

now for Goodwin and Proythress...they have even more to risk by coming back IMO...they could get exposed as just really not that great offensive skill position guys if come back and dont produce

top 5 picks get 2yr guaranteed at $4-5m per and team option on yrs 3 & 4 vs mid to late first rders get 1.5-2mm guaranteed, same team option

think the answer is that calimari will cut some of the guys with eligibility get paulson, hood etc on the end of bench off scholly to make #'s work if guys come back and still try and sign 6-7 guys

I think he, like Randle and TX for a long time, was looking for any reason he could find to go to FSU, but in the end just cannot find one....they are so bad and Hamilton such a poor offensive coach that he will not end up there IMO, and Randle not at TX....

so you think UK lands both Wiggins and Randle?
