Watching this bama spring game and my god he is gigantic now. Think they have him playing NT

I remember I was very meh when he decommittee because he either got hurt his SR year or just sucked....kicking myself now

Kid is wearing #8 and looks like a bigger Dunlap if u can believe that

IIRC he decommitted before he got hurt. The day after Dan Mac left he decommitted. He was 260-270 before he stepped on Bama's campus.

  • Watching Bama's Defense makes me sick. They're loaded with depth and talent like no team I've seen. I think they'll take a step back this year, but not because of talent. They'll be natl title favorites again in 2013. Their offense doens't look good at all, but who knows if that means anything. They have a new OC, new OL coach, and they'll have a new DC next year. When teams start losing their staff like that, it's hard to maintain. That's what happened to us too.

I said they were going to take a step back last year after they lost Ingram, Julio, McElroy etc and look what they did

    Shows how much I know

I said the same thing and now I look like a fool.

I will wait to see this team in action before I make a prediction. They will probably still be the second best team in the conference behind LSU

  • When I say "take a step back" I mean that a couple teams have a chance to beat them. They're going to win 10 games, maybe more.

I was watching their game, then I switched to FSU and UGA games. Bama made those teams look like HS teams size wise. Bama is bigger than some NFL teams.. Seriously.. Even their DB's, WR's, RB's, are all huge. That doesn't mean they're more talented, but it certainly helps. Hell, Ohio State was WAY BIGGER than us in 06 when they came of the field and we pounded them. Same with Bama in 08. Still, their guys are big and talented. We'll look something like that soon with an emphasis on bigger players.

  • Dee Hart is going to ball very very soon for Bama. quite possibly this year. I don't think much of their QB situation, but if they can run the ball like they did last season (very likely) they will be just fine. However, I agree that they could lose a game or two this year... I like LSU to beat them this season again, but easier this year..

Main difference between us and Bama wasnt the coaching turnover. It was the cold, hard reality that Meyer could not recruit properly. The coaching turnover certainly didnt help.

Meyer certainly recruited properly his first few years here.

  • Meyer recruited great players... problem was that a lot of the "great" players he recruited had character issues and eventually legal issues. Think how good the team would be if Cam Newton, Janoris Jenkins, Chris Martin, etc. could have just kept their head in football...
i still prefer Muschamp and the pro style attack better than Meyer and the spread

  • I don’t know, I’ve scoured our classes since 05 and I see a handful of superior talent laden with a sea of mediocrity. UF has been pulling superior talent for a long, long time now on its own.
