Is Uf the best sports university

  • Stanford has 35+ NCAA sanctioned sports.. UF only has 21 I believe.. Thats why we always finish second overall in total points for the directors cup.

UF is the best sports program in the nation overall and has been for a decade+ now. Texas/Ohio State are right there. These are really the only three who consistently have very good football and basketball programs. Texas and UF also have baseball, although their baseball program is much better than ours.

35 to 21....makes sense. I think the major sports we are far better for sure. Even major women's gymnastics, tennis, soccer, softball we rock it.

    This is correct.

Stanford has an absolutely terrific athletic program top to bottom, but they run away with the directors cup every year because of the number of sports they have.

Not that I want to be too critical. Given the quality of the academics at that school, Stanford's athletic achievements are, quite frankly, incredible. We are talking about an Ivy League quality institution that still wins national titles and attracts tremendous athletes. Any school that can stockpile Silicon Valley with talent while simultaneouslyboasting athletes like John McEnroe, Tiger Woods and John Elway is clearly doing a lot right.
