In all honesty, it would be Florida that wouldn't go for it.
Gators stopped playing these types of games in 1991 (Syracuse) .... aside from the 4-game series with Miami spread over a decade.
I'm not ripping UF ... but this is fact. UF does not want this type of game.
UF has a formula that has worked fine, and the Gators have no plans to deviate from this.
8 SEC games, 3 cupcakes and FSU. Then you add Miami every few years.
That is difficult enough. No need to toughen it up.
Ohio State, on the other hand, has the ability to add a big-time non-con every year because it doesn't have a yearly non-con rivalry with someone like FSU.
This doesn't make 1 chicken and 1 brave. The schedule of each simply is what it is.
If Florida wanted an intersectional game, it would get one. It doesn't, and it hasn't.
The possible exception could possibly be a one-time shot at the Georgia Dome, Cowboys Stadium, etc. I'm told UF had a chance to play Boise a couple years ago but it didn't work out.

Florida does not need to prove themselves to anyone else by playing a more difficult OOC schedule. We already play FSU annually and rotate Miami. The SEC schedule is tough enough, then we cap it off with FSU. That is plenty difficult.
Stop letting these guys get in your head that come over here and troll. Specifically the OSU fans. Those guys are clowns.

So this year UF has: 8 Sec games, 2 cupcakes, and 2 slightly better tasting cupcakes from FL.
Should be a 1 game season boys.
