Yes, he likes Akina, but again I have to imagine Texas is fighting an uphill battle considering he's a UF legacy and it's the in-state school.
I'd say UF-Texas-FSU in that order.

We're getting one of McQuay or Harris for sure. I got a feeling once Harris is close to commiting, McQuay could try to jump onboard. That kid is waiting himself out of this class. McQuay is an EE and he's that rangy free safety type who could easily play corner imo.
I don't see us getting both, despite the fact that they don't play the same position at all. Neal and Harris are very similar players though.

I think you're crazy assuming LM could "easily" play corner. I hope he could, but imo his natural position will be a free safety like you said. All bearing, I want Harris the legacy in this class. He's that physically imposing safety we need in a run oriented conference, who can play closer to the line of scrimmage. We got our superstar FS last cycle in Maye imo. Regardless, I want both. But if push comes to shove, I'll take Harris all day everyday.

I don't see Maye as a great FS prospect. Not sure he's got that range to take away the back end in a single high set.
We've already got those SS types. Elam for starters, but Neal and Ledbetter are both in the box types imo. I just want that guy with the speed, length and range to be left alone back there and erase that back end. Reggie Nelson did that and it allowed us to do alot of things up front.
Think about who we had in that "great" secondary in 06.. It was Reggie freagin Lewis and Ryan Smith at corner. I don't want to dog those guys, but come on. Not exactly the most talented duo we've ever had. Reggie's range and our great DL made those guys look way better than they really were. Thats what a great FS can do for a defense and that's what I"m not sure we have yet.
I love Maye as a prospect and I think he could be a very good SS, FS, or even LB (played LB in All star game and did it well) but speed isn't his game. To me, McQuay is all about speed and range.
