Seriously though, Debose is in a "try out" right now. If we see him not play in the bowl game, like he didn't the last few games, means he is gone. If he does things the right way the next week, and plays meaningful snaps in that game, he will be here next year.

Would love to have him back for depth alone. I expect nothing from him in terms of major contributions. If he ends up balling out his senior year if he makes it back. That's just gravy IMO...but if he does make it back, I look at it as depth and ST and won't expect more.

He apparently trains/rehabs in Tampa two times a week

He got his degree this month so he can transfer to any conf that takes one year graduate students.

Keith and swampboi are both correct, from my understanding. Patchan was definitely hurt at some point. How long that injury lasted is a little less clear to me.
Patchan also should be able to enroll at a other FBS school if he can find a grad degree Florida doesn't offer (like Masoli at Ole Miss and countless others).

I don't care either way, chances are if he stayed he would trip over a sprinkler on the practice field and somehow shatter his knee cap and be out for the season.
Or a wood pecker would poke his eye out

Talented kid. Shame he didn't get a break in the injury department. When he was healthy and contributing, I liked what he brought at ROT. Just speculating, but He may have seen the writing on the wall and not rehabbed with the intensity that Muschamp would have liked and it became a self-fulfilling prophecy. He might have gotten a "soft" label from Davis. Who knows? Now he's got several ahead of him in terms of experience and proven ability to play with/through injuries. It makes sense to me.
