Florida's recruiting class is considered the best in the country even with all the guys who signed.

Richie Martin will take over at shortstop unless Avery Romero does the unthinkable and says no to six figures. Not likely but there isn't a lot of pool money with the Marlins. Martin is an outstanding fielder and a good contact guy at the plate.

I think RHP Tucker Simpson will be counted on immediately. He's 6-7 and throws 94-95.

Christian Dicks, an outfielder from Jacksonville Providence, hits with a ton of power and he can go get the ball. He'll have to play immediately in center field.

Brady Roberson caught and played first base in high school. I could see him at first base or in left field since Gushue will catch next year. I could see Justin Shafer moving to first base and that would open up left field for Roberson.

Raphael Andrades could play immediately but I have to wonder if they'll let him play baseball rather than take reps in spring football. He could play center field or right field immediately.

Also Mike Vinson will probably be the next Brian Johnson. He hits well enough to get his at bats but he's got a really strong arm and throws a 92-94 fast ball.

Double play ball. BJ just hasn't done it. At least it got the run in. It's 5-4 with a runner on third for Pigott. He needs to be a hero right now.
