Hudson Randall starts for the first time in two weeks.

Peter Verdin punched a single to right on the eighth pitch. Randall so far looks okay, just not his normal self.
Welton fly ball to the warning track in left. One away.
Out two on a fly ball to right. 11 pitches now. Randall looked more comfortable with that pitch than any he's thrown so far.
Verdin steals second... great throw by Zunino, just that Verdin got too good a jump.
Line drive to left ends the inning. Florida going against Luke Crumley. First start of his young career. Tall (6-6) freshman.
Fontana hit the ball hard but right at the pitcher for the first out. Justin Shafer hitting second now. Freshman who's hit lower in the order all year.
Fly ball to center. Two down.
Great pitch on the fists of Tucker. Harmless grounder to first to end the inning. 0-0 through 1.
First out grounder for Georgia ... Randall walks Ruiz, first walk issued by UF pitching in the 26-1/3 innings of this series.
Another stolen base. They're getting great jumps on Randall.
Out two to the warning track in left.
Randall gets the strikeout to end the inning ... 29 pitches in two innings for him. That's pretty high. I would imagine he's on a pitch count of about 80 today. Whitson will come in behind him.
Zunino just launched his 11th homer deep to left. Crushed that ball. UF 1-0.
Johnson hit the ball hard to first but it's out 1. Pigott to the plate.
Pigott draws a 1-out walk. Turgeon to the plate. Good time to hit and run with a guy who doesn't strike out much.
Pigott was running so the DP was avoided, but Turgeon is thrown out at first. Two down for Taylor Gushue, who has slumped after such a hot start.
Gushue just tapped weakly to the pitcher who just ran to first for the third out.
Ground ball to second for out one for Georgia in the third ... Randall hits Verdin. I think he runs here.
Single to left center ... runners first and third. Verdin was running on the play. I thought he could have scored if they had sent him. O'Sullivan out to the mound to talk. Randall has thrown 40 pitches already.
Stinkin up the place again I see.
Inning ending double play ... 5-4-3. That kills that Georgia threat. 1-0 through 2-1/2.
The two anchors of our staff, Randall and Whitson, are surrounded with questions and BJ just hasn't been what we'd hoped. If these three aren't firing on all cylinders come tournament time, we're not going anywhere. The team doesn't hit enough and the defense, overall, is nothing more than average. If we hope to win hardware, it's going to have to come from starting & relief pitching, an offense that can score enough and a defense that doesn't give the opposition too many extra outs. I just don't know if there's enough time left to fix our Big 3.
No Cain, no gain.
Dent is not a D1 or DII caliber hitter. He's barely bench chaff on a JUCO squad.
Dent grounded to second and Fontana walked. One on for Justin Shafer in the Florida half of the third.

Shafer just hit into an inning-ending double play. Georgia's infield defense has been outstanding all weekend.
Leadoff double for Brett Deloach and that brings O'Sullivan out of the dugout. That's it for Randall ... coming in Daniel Gibson.
Randall's book is closed with 3.0+, 45 pitches and he wasn't particularly sharp. Color me the opposite of optimistic.
