They haven't beaten a currently ranked team. What's your point exactly?
That has nothing to do with whether I think Oregon would beat Florida if they played today. I have no problem with Florida being ranked No. 2 in the BCS. I've said repeatedly I think the Gators' resume is well deserving of that ranking.
But that doesn't mean I think Florida would beat Oregon on a neutral field if the two teams lined up and played this Saturday.

TG how about if lets say we play in the natty against them and have a couple weeks to prepare and gameplan would u still pick Oregon? I think we'd destroy them with that much time to prepare with our coaching staff

all the people ranking Oregon or whoever above the Gators are looking at the future. WHo they think are the better teams. they aren't looking at the actual resume. If they were, UF would be #1 and Bama #2. I don't think we're better than Bama and we may not be better than the teams that are behind us but given our current record and who we've played, we deserve to be where we are. Anyone saying otherwise is just not looking at things in the right manner.

Exactly. It annoys me when the talking heads claim that Oregon (or any other team in a crap conference) should be ranked higher than the Gators based off how they look a.k.a. an 'eye test'.
A perfect example of how much that logic fails is West Virginia. Jesse Palmer was all over WVU's jock saying that their offense was unstoppable and that UF had too many flaws to be a top 5 team, all based off of 'the eye test' and we all know how that brilliant reasoning worked out for the former Gator. WVU showed their collective a$$es and the Gators just keep winning.
The Eye Test should have died in 2006 when our Gators whooped OSU 41-14 playing "ugly football" (honk if you sacked Troy Smith), but sadly it still remains trying desperately to give relevancy to all BIG 10 teams and FSU's title aspirations.

I gotta agree with Thomas that he's been pretty spot on in his predictions so far this season.
