Yep, I watched the UT game last night and remembered what kind of potential we have. If he progresses this summer, and the new "toys" work out, we'll see a drastic change. We have a 6'5" 240 lb QB with a laser rocket arm, and 4.5 speed. We could be in a much worse position!! He also had like 3-4 comebacks this year, which means it was on him and the Offense more than just the D. He's a winner, and has elite talent, we just need to continue and mold him. Everybody can't be Johnny Manziel, and we certainly didn't have the weapons A&M had, either.

I keep telling you guys if you bash JD they will put your head on a platter. Keep on posting because your opinion is just as important than everyone else. Fight the power.

the downvotes for this topic are a bit excessive. as an avid JD supporter from the start of the QB competition, its hard to deny that a lot of the players were in favor of Jacoby. if you dont think that is the truth then look at Matt Elams tweets last night about Jacoby and NC State. the competition understandably created sides. does that mean Driskel cant get it done and lead the team after a 11 win season and hopefully a big off season this year? absolutely not.

I get that man, but I NEVER bashed a player on our team like that. We need to support our QB, and move on. He even used the word "BASH", which tells me that is what he wanted to do. You're right on differing opinions though, as I'm the biggest homer of anybody. It just makes me mad to see people not back our leaders.

i belong to this site. i understand both of them went to dwyer. there is a difference between supporting the leaders of our team and recognizing that JD needs work both on the field and leading this team for him to be as successful as we want him to be.

Of course he does, and what QB after only one year as the starting guy, and also in the offense, wouldn't? Taking Matt Elam's word over our coaches though, is just stupid, IMO.

Your wrong man I used the phrase "Not bashing him" bc if I didn't I knew people like you would say that I was bashing him. For the 10th time I love Driskel. Someone made a point that JB was Elams HS QB. IMO there was a rift in the locker room over Brissett & Driskel. My main point: it's not like Driskel was the clear cut favorite. Remember coming into the year we had a QB battle. Driskel won so I think some who wanted/liked JB were upset. Again it's annoying seeing people calling me a Driskel hater. A hater is people coming on here after the Louisville game crying that Driskel played horrible. It's a TEAM game. The ultimate team game. He played bad bc he didn't even have a second to throw. His future is bright. If I was bashing him like you say I would be saying how horrible he is. You guys just dont understand my logic I guess? This is an OPINION not a fact. My opinon is just as good as yours. Unless you were in the locker room. Driskel > Brissett/Brantley. Fair? Driskel will do big things once our OL learns to pass block.
