Once he has a good game throwing again, people like this will be singing how great he his and how they knew he was going to break out.

I'm not bashing him...I wanted Driskel over Brissett since the beginning. This was AB what Elam said. I said IMO the players don't like Driskel bc he is goofy. If I was bashing Driskel I would say he sucks & I want JB back. I don't...we won 11 games this year w/a 1st time starter. I am proud to say he is our QB. But you can't tell me that sometimes he just looks lost out there? I am talking AB the bad moments too. Those where the moments, the UGA end zone pick. He just looked lost & had no idea what was going on. That is what I mean. Goofy. That doesn't mean he can't be good. Look at Eli Manning. The difference between Eli is his teammates like/respect him. Don't bash him like Elam did. I love Driskel & hopefully when we win another 10+ games this year the teammates start to gravitate towards him too. Winning solves everything, now that JB is gone there is no rift & to me he was the biggest problem of all. No JB = good for JD

I just don't know why you think the players don't like him? Cause you seen Trey Burton walk away from him? Or that he is goofy?

teammates not liking him because he is goofy? That would be shallow af. The teammates were more likely to not like him for his play than his perceived goofiness. They could have been split also because there was another leader type with brisset.

In a way I agree about the players not getting along with him just from watching the games but who am I to say if the really do.

Let's take a look at this for a second......1st year starter+ horrible pass blocking line+ WR's that can't get any separation+ playing in the SEC? Give the kid some time. With Brissett gone, the players won't play favorites. Unless Morningwheg steps up big time.

NFZ I see where you are coming from with the teammate point. A few times I've watched Dunbar, Burton and Nixon just blow JD off. Maybe it approach or lack of respect but everyone isn't a Tebow, Spikes or A Black type of leader. I feel JD bc he wants to lead this team but for some reason many aren't buying in.

Funny timing for this thread, considering what was posted in the Jacoby thread and on TOS. Seems like there was division on the team due to the QB competition. Reading the statement by a departing senior in the Jacoby thread it looks like he had his chance to be the starter but couldn't take the job. The senior says that he was dividing the team, and the OP says nobody likes Driskel. I guess those two things are related, as Jacoby had his friends as supporters (many of the receivers in the group - although Elam's tweet sounded like he was one too), even after Driskel won the starting job. Anyway, Jacoby is gone now, so no excuses for any more division. Get on board or get out of the way...

Thank you...again it's just my opinion. I'm just stating that when I saw Burton/Reed & others blow him off that's a bad sign. I don't understand why people think I am hating on Driskel? Brissett was the main reason all of this occurred & I think a couple...couple players blew of JD bc he is goofy. I think this year we won't see any of those people blowing him off bc he won us 11 games.
