you think he's in the DL rotation next yr? he's a EE and 6'4" 270 going into it he seems like he has about as much chance as D Walker would have
Not sure but am willing to bet those measurements are inaccurate. Look for him to RS this year and be in the rotation as a RS So.
If he is healthy, beefier, and knows the playbook, why not?!?
Saw him in person and stood next to him at FNL. The 270 aint in question. At all. He every pound of that. Probably closer to 6'3 but either way its not like he is 6'2. He is a legitimately huge kid.
I know no Joey Ivie
I only know MONGO!
LORD FORGIVE ME FOR THE GOON DADDY IS COMING OUT TONIGHT
RS So? That would be the 2015 season, if he redshirts this year he will be a RS Fr next yr in the 2014 season. Didnt you get it mixed up? Or do you not think Ivie will play until the 2015 season? Cause I would have to disagree with that
That's fine. I gave my expectation, you have yours.
My expectations for 2013... He brings up the team GPA.
It's not at all uncommon for defensive tackles to ride the pine until their 3rd year, especially in the SEC, and even more so if you aren't an elite prospect. I think AD is probably pretty reasonable on this one.
In fact, Gators need to recruit to the point where that's the norm. We still have not covered up the gaps yet and are relying too much on freshman coming in and playing early.
he played alot of DT in HS from the highlights i watched so maybe he could move around on our line?
he looked really disruptive too relentless motor looks like he could be really good at swatting passes too lol

Expectation? Not much.. I just expect him to be slightly better than Clowney and lead the nation in sacks and tfl..
But seriously, I think he gets in the 8-9 man rotation toward the bottom.. He's our best DL commit imo and he's an ee with Dillman all off season. Great size and motor with good athletic ability. I see him as a ssde.
Great point SU.
Walk softly but carry a big stick
while i have a thread made are there any senior highlights for ivie?
sounds like he had a pretty good yr from the little rivals 1 line
Ivie collected 89 tackles, 12 sacks, three forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery for a team that recorded seven shut outs.
Agree.. 1st year dl's should only play because they're ready, not because they have to. Oddly, Bullard and Fowler were both ready and "good" SEC dl's by years end.. They were not liabilities. Floyd/Easley/Powell were NOT ready as fresh. They were liabilities, even as sophs to some extent.
Nxt Year I think he redshirts
But I expect him to contribute as a rs fresh
idk about that man they were probably better then lemmens and trattou i was hoping every game to see ease or powell at DE
Floyd was ready and should have played more his freshman year and should have played DT his soph year.
My God, it's bad enough we use this stupid phrase "he isn't elite" in NFL discussions bw stupid analysts talking NFL QBs. Can we NOT introduce that shit in CFB. Ivie is every bit the elite DL or he wouldn't be recruited to the Univ of Florida. And if anyone is gonna outwork, out train, out lift (Dillman) and outplay fellow recruits to break into the starting lineup, it's gonna be Ivie. He's "elite" in my book. At its not like Don Pasco has been a 1A private school playing weak competition.
