We are waiting on MRI results, but my contacts have told me at least a couple weeks, maybe longer...that was as of last night
Thanks for the info Bullis!
Man I've got my fingers crossed its minor. Thanks Bullis.
Last night at 9 pm will tweeted "can't believe this is happening , must be a nightmare ". BD on Monday said Will.was having an MRI Tuesday
He must have gotten the news yday
What we also know is.will was judging gainesville fashion week last night from 6-10 pm and acted normal ( no word on whether in a brace etc )
If out for yr ...our magical type season chances shrunk to near zero ....WY is heart of our defense / press.....praying for kid
Bad year for injuries. Worst I can remember since 2001.
Billy the Kid, age 48,
5 SEC Championships,
2 National Championships...
He tweeted the nightmare comment while he was judging a fashion show?
Must have been some bad clothing.
Ouch, this a major bummer. Definitely will make things complicated going forward. Billy D is gonna have to open the bench a little bit more now--maybe play the freshman in some situations earlier than usual.
Prather & Devon Walker are going to have to a substantially larger role now it seems. Hope the Gators can survive this injury, and hope Yeguette gets better soon!
Not so fast my friend! Made it to the Elite 8 last season with him on the pine with a broken foot! No word yet on the knee, but it's def an issue today. No word on the MRI either or his future status, but he has had it drained quite a bit the past couple of weeks - so they need to find a solution & fix it rather than aggravating whatever's causing the inflamation & fluid buildup on the knee. Feel bad for Will. He's a warrior & most of the vets have been playing with injuries of some type or another this season - and playing thru it.
It will be tough sledding without Will IF he is diagnosed with a season ending injury. And I agree we should all keep this kid in our prayers. Just a super young man.
Ky will give us an idea of how we fare without Will next Tuesday. Maybe TG can get an update on his status from Billy.
He is probably tweeting the nightmare on the swelling and discomfort and also how he doesnt want to lose the rest of his season like last year.
Dr kevin murphy was on 1010xl this morning in jax and speculated that since will was trying to play that it is more likely an issue with his meniscus and having to deal with swelling/pain tolerence if it isnt too severe.
Dr murphy said that they would propbably rest him three to six weeks and see if he can go in the sec/ncaa tournies.
All speculation but he has been pretty good about predicting certain injures relating to athletes such as dwight howard, peyton, rg3 and AP.
Ohhh let's doooo it
ooorrrannngeeee and bluuueee it
UF should release some info on will around two.
Anything on Will yet? Practice should be about to get under way. Not sure anyone knows anything concrete yet.
Check the thread I posted about him being out for the rest of the regular season. Undergoing arthroscopic surgery on the knee. Will have more in a story shortly.

Yep, just saw it TG, thanks. I guess surgery today or tomorrow?
If Fla is one of the top 4 seeds in the SEC Tourney, which they should be, they will not play until Fri. March 15th, which gives him 4 weeks to rehab. Gotta ralley the troops now & stay healthy & get Big Will back to good health. He & Casey have been snake bitten with health issues it seems!
Later this week, which I'd assume means tomorrow.
If he does come back for the sec tourney hopefully he only plays like 5 minutes a game or so and the keep letting him recover for the real tourney
