Eric Stoner of DraftCountdown and Rotoworld ranked him as the No. 10 player on the South team today and had the following to say.
Xavier Nixon: 10. Xavier Nixon: The talent is all there. He stoned Damontre Moore and Jarvis Jones in pass pro. How bad does he want it? #SeniorBowlSouth

Same Xavier Nixon? I thought he was in Barcelona right now? Olé!
Nixon has been hurt a lot in his Florida career though. If he can stay healthy, he could make a very good LT in the NFL.
So he waits until a post-college exhibition game to start blocking Jarvis Jones...thanks
I really FIFY
Beatings will continue until morale improves
Winningest Program in College Football since 1990!
Hurts, don't it? I don't know whether it was focus, effort, injuries. But Nixon had one of the most uneven careers I can recall, bouncing from excellent games to abysmal ones with seemingly little reason. Wasted promise, IMO. But he'll get paid, I'm sure.

One of the more frustrating Gators in recent years. Dude played like a first day pick against FSU, but a CFL-er against Georgia.

THIS.....guy dominated in a # of games like TAM, l$u, scar (clowney) and then others got mauled like mutts this yr (jarvis jones)
clearly he battled some sort of issue that caused his weight to fluctuate wildly from frosh yr ...this year he seemed largely healthy....lets remember he was a high 5* tackle that on paper looks like an NFL tackle....cant teach his height/size/wingspan/feet....weight was the big issue and then healthy too.....IF weight/health come around , see no reason why he wont have a long NFL career....not saying franchise tackle but at a min a rotation guy
seems like he could have really benefited from a Rs frosh yr vs being thrown into battle and being appointed the future....always of opinion that lineman should be Rs frosh yr ...no reason for 18yr old kids to be thrown into SEC line of scrimmage battles
Lol. Clowney ate Nixon's cornbread
Clowney ate everybodies cornbread...and will in the league also. Don't use that as a measuring stick...
Read the post above mine before assuming that I'm using Clowney as a measuring stick. But since you brought it up, that Michigan LT shut Clowney down.
I really do think we will see him get paid.
No RS year, constant change at OC and offensive system, and playing through injuries. I think that is enough to justify the inconsistencies.
Regardless of how inconsistent Nixon was, I'm rooting for him to ball out and do his thing in the league. Was a huge recruiting coup and the guy loves being a Gator.
I'm sure he had some vietnam flashbacks before that rep vs jones
