Ok the TV market idea - yes, I can 85% agree with that idea. Although, if FSU (& Clemson) was in the SEC, CBS would have exclusive rights to the UF / FSU game yearly (as well as the Clemson / USCe game)...
Recruiting like some have said would not really be affected - both schools are recruiting at a high level.

VaTech and North Carolina please. Enjoy the big east, Noles.
I'm assuming no such thing. Why would we want to make our job on the trail any harder and yours any easier? There is no doubt that a lot of elite talent wants to play somewhere they can win championships. FSU has done well in recruiting because Jimbo has promised those championships to recruits and the media blows smoke up your ass every year before an ACC nobody brings you all back to reality. How much longer are kids going to be deluded into attending your clown college as you fail to deliver the goods?
UNC is entrenched in the ACC (you would have a better shot at NCSU).
UVA won't leave UNC's side, which means Va Tech wouldn't go anywhere (through state legislature).
I think you're still missing the point - the recruiting job would remain relatively the same; I don't see FSU benefiting THAT much from inclusion with the SEC. Not trying to get into a p!ssing match, but have a REASONABLE conversation...
I think you're missing the point. As I said, why would we want to make our job even the *slightest* bit more difficult or yours the *slightest* bit easier? What's in it for us? Not sure what's so difficult to understand about this, pal

The VT vote was only thru 2016 so VT can bolt at anytime after that. Good try...next
Sad but VT,NCstate,UNC and L'ville would get a SEC call before FSU
TAMU was never supposed to leave the Big 12 but they got mad at UT and now they are flourishing. If the ACC keeps on losing teams do you think the president, fans, and boosters of VT, UVA, NCST, or UNC or going to want to stay in the ACC? No way, they are smart people and are going to want to go where the best athletics and money is, whether that is the SEC or another conference. The ACC is falling fast, every other conference is adding teams while the ACC is losing teams and adding shitty teams.
I've heard Clay Travis and the guys in Nashville mention a few times that the SEC offered FSU a spot a decade ago or so. Not sure of the exact timeframe. FSU decided not to jump because they liked being in a conference without UF. That has been talked about pretty extensively.
I never once mentioned their need for recruits anywhere in that post. Only thing I stated was that being in the SEC is better than the ACC. If players are on the fence between us and them and take that into consideration, that no longer matters if they join.
SwoNole - Are you an 1110?
This. FSU brings nothing that the SEC already doesn't have. Already have television market in Florida, already have a better academic and larger school in Florida. If anybody is getting in from ACC it will be Va Tech and UNC or DUKE IMO.
The ACC just added Pitt and Cuse
The rumor was ACC told SEC they were coming(waiting to vote) but the entire time were talking with ACC and at the last hour announced for the ACC.
Yeah I know. They are losing teams and adding shitty teams. Pitt and Cuse where for basketball. The ACC is a joke of a football conference.
you said it not me
100% correct - can you tell lol!?
Then what does that say about Mizzou

RT @JFowlerCBS: ACC in talks with UConn, Louisville, South Florida & Cincinnati about 14th team to replace Maryland, source told
I agree that I would rather that FSU is in the SEC playing the teams we play...however, it would move Missouri to the west and add Clemson and FSU to the east...the east would be a bear of a division !
The Noles had their chance. Now we don't want you, end of story.
That would be a he!! of a division... West would be tough too...
I am an active duty Navy guy as well. I saw the "SWO" and thought this guy loves jousting on the message boards....he must be an 1110!
Hahaha - touche my brother. Just stirring up some trouble on this board... That's what we do best!
Mizzou was supposed to be good. Hey at least their basketball team is good.
