True as well. I do feel UF is winning the east this year so a aTm match up wouldn't be out of the question.
I'd have us around 13-14.
We have our clear strengths (DE, CB, RB)
Our clear weaknesses (WR, TE)
And our positions of uncertainty (QB, LB, S)
Good enough to make a play for the SEC if those last two categories step up, and at least challenge the best of our division if they don't.
We have had top 10 (and higher) recruinting classes for any number of years. Our head coach is in his third year with a Junior quarterback. We should be disappointed with anything less than a top 5 team. Last year we had a top defense and a terrible offense (passing game). We won the turnover margins last year big time, but can't expect that type of dispairity to continue. I feel we will finish 10th which, for me, is underperforming.
i say at no 10 that's about right better o-line play better chance and easier schedual.
My buddies would also tell me A&M would beat Florida if they played later in the season.
But I answer with this Florida beat LSU.
LSU beat A&M late in the season.
But ranking I got Florida at 2 behind Bama.
This aggravates me. People act as if TAMU is the only team that got better. We had a QB in a new system with very little weapons, all while playing on the road In a very hostile environment in college station. We got better as the season went along. The outcome would have been the same IMO
I don't know. I think Florida peaked during the LSU game, then injuries hit and the Gators weren't the same again until the FSU game. To me, there was a clear upward curve until the LSU game, then injuries on the offensive line really crippled the team. They did just enough to get by until they got fully healthy again and put things together on both sides and special teams to beat FSU.
But Texas A&M was clearly pretty much on the upswing throughout the entire season.
To me, it's not a slight to Florida to say Texas A&M probably wins that game in eight of the 10 weeks following the one the actual game was played in. That Texas A&M team was really, really good.

9-12 and I think that's around where we start
2nd in the East. 15th nationally
We were very fortunate to win a lot of close games last year (especially Mizzou and UL-Laf), to catch A&M early, etc. With another difficult schedule, a grand total of one proven (and that might be a stretch) offensive skill-position player in Driskel, several missing starters on defense, and no kicker, I'd say #18 -- which would mean a 9-4 record -- seems about right.
Golden is better then Jimbo... I feared it was true. He is going to hoist a crystal ball there - fsufsu
Very plausible. The bad part is you'll have fans crying for Muschamp's head if this happens even though it's part of the rebuilding process. 10 win season in the SEC is very respectable
Very good analysis, I think they should be Ranked at 10, they have most of the returning OL and a very good Defense the key is at QB, can Driskel step up and who will help him at the WR position is the biggest question mark.
Aww.. There, there cupcake.. Did I hurt your e-feelings ?
I think it depends on who we lose to/ how we look in those games. For instance if we look like crap most of the season and luck into 9 wins, you'll hear chatter. But if we look strong and just lose a few close ones, than it won't be as bad. You'll still have idiots that'll whine but they'll be the minority. As far as who we lose to, if our only losses are USC, LSU and maybe a bowl and/or SECCG than it would be understandable. I don't think Muschamp can afford to lose to UGA again. And he definitely would get some credit if he beat Miami and FSU
Driskel makes Dorsey, Testaverde, and Kelly look like EJ Manuel against the UF defense. Your blind homerism is on an insane level, Dundee was right.
Winningest Program in College Football since 1990!
Probably true... Considering he did nothing all game.
15th, our offense is still a question mark and we lost key guys from a defense that won us a lot of games
21-35 256yds 2TD 0INT
13 carries for 55yds
I'll take that.
Meh. Half if that came against our 2nd team D while the rest was againat a bunch of true freshman... Not that impressive IMO.
