5-star LB Raekwon McMillan of Georgia has OSU in the lead, and has hit it off with Meyer. Now, I know some Gators are still upset with him, but McMillan said this to me: "Man, he talks about Florida all the time. All the time." Said it's pretty obvious Urb really liked being in Gville.
Urb's NC and SEC rings are prominently displayed in his office.

I am probably one of the few but I still like Urban.
I saw this title and my heart skipped a beat...
He'd be crazy not to talk about what he did at Florida with recruits.

Always thankful for what he did on the field, and bringing UF back from the Zook days.
With that said, all the arrests off the field, combined with the way he left Florida have left a sour taste in my mouth.
For real, I don't think he talks about how great UF or Gville was because I doubt most coaches talk about other schools like that. He probably just says how great his teams were and how great all his players were.
Well since Raekwon McMillan is hearing all this stuff about Florida, he might as well experience it himself, just saying
What are our chances with him?
Same here. He gave us two titles. The rest is an afterthought for me.
This! 110% agree with you!
Yet, I'm sure he'd have no problem bad-mouthing this UF team to win over a recruit. I mean, this is recruiting...
Yes, and knowing his psychology background, this has zer0 to do with his "love of the Gators", and everything to do with HIS accomplishments. He's no dummy, that's for sure.
Winningest Program in College Football since 1990!
I think he's all but a done deal to ohio state also with most of the UGA recruits for next year.
The Gators have three crystal balls and he delivered two of them. He recruited some of the best players the Gators have had and he pushed for and got built the new football facility. I have no problem with the guy and hope he has a good life. If the Gators play the Buckeyes I hope we whop them like a borrowed mule, as I like to see them suffer like they did in 2006.
I want that chance, with Boom as our coach. I would LOVE to play and whip Meyer for the BCS NC.
***Work hard everyday, so that when you face someone who hasn't worked hard, you can beat his brains out!***
Thats about it... basically he didn't have to do what he did when he left. He broke the place, lied, quit, came back to try and strong arm us into taking the dazzler, then lied and left again, and then proved his lies on the biggest stage by going back to OSU months later.
But he gave us some of our greatest teams and rescued us from what Zook had turned us into... so he gets thanks for that... He just crewed the pooch when he left.
Beatings will continue until morale improves
I will be forever grateful for what urbs did at UF thru 2008- after that he lost control of the team and quit
ALL THE WORLD LOVES A FIGHTER
EVEN THE DEVIL HATES A QUITTER
And that's a first down!
does this mean you're going to quit the board for 'health reasons' and then come back to us a day later?
Ohhh let's doooo it
ooorrrannngeeee and bluuueee it
I like him too. I dont agree with some things he did but I'm still appreciative of all he did here.
UF...ASSOC OF AMERICAN UNIVERSITIES MEMBER...3-TIME FOOTBALL NATL CHAMPION..2-TIME BASKETBALL NATL CHAMPION..31 ATHLETIC NATL CHAMPIONSHIPS!
Figured me out. After I come back I will leave a week later to devote more time to my family. After a month of that, I'll be ready to rejoin but will subscribe to the Minnesota Golden Gopher site where being a good poster would be much easier and less stressful.
