Have you watched them this year?
The team lost together...to many uncontested shots, bad mistakes, Murphy was absolutely invisible all night, boynton as well till the end, rosario got a little hot and got taken out, young couldn't calm down, prather is an offensive liability and yueg got hurt early. It was a team loss not just wilbekin.
Lets keep it in prospective, we went in to a hostile environment against a team that is excellent at home, was incredibly hot, the officiating was loose (lots of fouls off the ball), and we had a bad shooting night.
It happens, its happened every year we've played. Rather it happen now then in March.
Agreed....at the odome we won't lose. On the road we are clearly not as good so road games at mizzou and UK worry me now.
Disappointed, but still will be in the Dome on Saturday to welcome the guys back home
I'll be UK game can't make miss state.
Mizzou is a joke and Kentucky is young.
There's not a better home court advantage in the SEC than Arkansas at Bud Walton. Arkansas is terrible at neutral site games and on the road 0-7.

Proud of our team. They have played hard all year whether up or down by 30. Please people get off the bandwagon.
I fucin hate UK, but they are getting better. I'm glad we cut it to 11 and won the 2nd half. Honestly I think I was more pissed after losing to uga by 14 last year. We will be fine. Should help us down the road, but could really hurt our resume.
me too...flying in from TX Friday, will also be at UK next Tues....reality is in a 30 game season you will have some games where other teams play out of their minds (especially at home) and we come out flat/lacking energy.....long run maybe we needed a game like this....
we were a 7 seed last year and nearly made FF..would have with Yeguette playing....resumes are overrated IMO...more about matchups in tourney...won't know those until we see brackets
Honestly I'm glad we closed well after a terrible game. In more mad I have to face people tomorrow I was arguing with about us being worthy of one seed lol.
Kentucky went to overtime vs the aggies. They have no pg play still. At the odome I highly, highly doubt we lose or any game is within 10. Our guys have been nasty at home.
But at rupp end of season UK needing game probably to get a tourney bid...that one I can see us losing.
we rebounded stronger from KSU,,,,losses like this are (lets hope) teaching moments....guys if they didnt already know, now know -- we got to be unselfish and MUST play:
1. GREAT DEFENSE
2. GREAT DEFENSE
3. GREAT DEFENSE
4. GREAT DEFENSE
cause the 3s arent going to always fall, we def did ourselves no favors by coming out loose on defense -- way too many uncontested 3s for arky early and they were insanely hot -- had guys who were shooting 25% from 3pt line , making it rain from deep like a young Ray Allen
Those two teams still could beat anybody in the SEC when they bring their A games
It's like star rankings.
Sure a three star can do well in college...like a 6-8 seed can in tourney
Sure a five star can bust, like duke and mizzou last year as two seeds.
But the math says you're safer with the high seed(or five star), than with the worse seed(or the three star)
I'll take the 1-2 seed. Remember as 2 seed our bracket was much easier than last years even with same result. We got lucky having norfolk as an easy second round.
yeah I mean. Higher seeding will help your probabilities to win termendously, but the tourney is still a crap shoot. OSU had the hardest draw of any overall #1 seed I've ever seen, and eventually got bounced in the Sweet 16 by Kentucky. On the flip side, 2 years ago #1 seed Kansas had a freaking cake walk to the Final Four, but still lost to VCU in the Elite 8.
Not only was this a bad loss on the court and from a resume standpoint it puts us against the wall for the SEC crown. We have UT, KY and Mizz on the road. Those all could be L if we play anything close to tonite.
Well yeah, but you shouldn't expect that. I mean, if we play like how we played tonight for the rest of the season, we'll lose the rest of our games and be lucky to make the NIT.

I agree , we probably only have 2 or 3 soft games left this season .
Some of the posts on here are ridiculous. This isnt football, 1 bad loss doesnt mean you're not a good team. What would you expect? A visiting team goes into Bud Walton against Arkansas who is 13-1 at home but 0-7 in road/nuetral games (If you look at their schedule they dont have but maybe 2 bad losses) and Ark shoots 15-20 with only 1 TO in the 1st 13 minutes. Then Pat is getting mauled all night (BJ Young slapped him in the head at one point), Scottie couldnt touch an Ark player without getting called for a foul, Murphs 3s werent falling, and things just didnt go our way. We still fought and lost a game you woulda thought we'd lose by 30+ by 11. The last thing I wanna hear from our posters is complainig about Scottie or Milke or talking about how UK or other teams could beat us. We had a bad night and as Kenny called it a "reality check". Bottom line, this team is light years better then myself or any other Gator fan expected them to be. For those who are complaining about tonights performance, you need a reality check. Conference road games are usually tough, our boys fought hard tonight with most things not going there way. I'm not happy with the outcome but I am proud of the team tonight. For those of you complaining about this loss go back and check the 05-06/06-07 results. They had bad losses too. GO GATORS!
One guy earned my respect tonight- Young.
Relentless effort. He and Yeguette are hard nosed players.
Good post GT. Simply put - there are no ''Sacred Cows'' in college basketball this year. The AP Poll will change like the weather in Florida the next 2-3 weeks, that's one sure bet.
An avg. Ark. team shot lights out tonight & put us in a deep hole we couldn't climb out of. Gators tried to get it all back at once instead of slowly digging out of the hole. Gators had way too many turnovers & missed layups, short jumpers in the lane, free throws -at times it would have cut the AR lead to 10-12 pts & give us the momentum. Heck, AR almost had a 30 pt lead at one point in the game! Fla didn't play terrible, they just didn't play their best game when they needed to. Fla. should expect to take every teams best shot when they play them. Can't take a night off.
Hope Will recovers quickly & Casey can shake the injury bug that has been with him since the season started.
No excuse last night, just got beat - plain & simple!! The sun comes up in an hour, the Gators will practice later today & get ready for Miss. St on Saturday!! On to the next game. Go Gators!!
