I didn't see this posted, but in a shocker, Tony James, the GHS JR RB, beat Kermit Whitfield by a "hair" in the 55 meters at the meet in Gainesville. Maybe Kermit pouted and went home instead of staying for his visit. I noticed Langston just tweeted his time, not that he got dogged by a JR and finished 2nd.
I had no idea James was this fast.
Good info. Thanks.
Good 2nd back for the class, but not somebody I'd take anytime soon. That's been my stance for awhile...
I wonder how my friend's little brother did. Walter "Bubba" Tucker.
James is definitely fast, but that time (6.28) surprises me. To me, that means he's faster than he plays in pads.
Like SU said, he's a guy you probably can't offer right away. He's a third-down back, from what I've seen. Not sure he can be an every-down runner. That said, it'll be interesting to see how his senior year goes, because he was a clear No. 2 behind Raph Webb this year.

Raph Webb was the back to take frm G. James is built like Chris Thompson and is all Nole as of right now. IF they allow him to be. Raph Webb physically looks better from a muscle to fat ratio than any back we have. Very underrated.
Agreed. Webb's going to be a steal for someone.
