Joakim Noah - 16
Chandler Parsons - 7
Al Horford - 5
Bill Simmons takes a look at some of the best deals for teams in the NBA. Three Gators made the list, which basically means these guys are far outperforming what most expected of them.
With the NBA's new collective bargaining agreement in full swing, it's all about the contracts.

Bill Simmons is the man, if you are a basketball fan you have to read his book The Book of Basketball
Loved that book. Finished it in like 3 days.
I have and it is great...for my $$, he is the best sportswriter in the biz...I will read anything he writes, and it is always great
Hmmm wish Horford had held out for more money and/or a trade....dont think ATL showcases him as a main feature 4 like they should
As for Noah can see him taking less cuz he just wants.to win & being on a good team is important to him
As.for Parsons ....kid is in.for a HUGE payday once his current deal expires...could easily see him getting.a 4_5yr $30Mill type deal....cray considering how far he has come since his Jr yr at UF when the light started to come on for him
All Great ambassadors for UF Bball end of day
Grantland is where it's at.
Think the Horford contract was a perfectly fine one. Five years, $60 million is a really good offer three years after you're drafted.
Plus, he'll be 28 or 29 once his contract is up, right in his prime, and he'll make big money. Showing now he's one of the best centers in the game, which is why I'm fine with where the Hawks are playing him. Also, if they moved Horf to the 4, then Josh Smith would move down to the 3, which NO NO NO NO NO.
Great second post. Upvoted.
Read the part at the end about the impact of Lebron on the value of the Heat and the Cavs. Amazing. Heat's owners need to sell now.
I have a funny feeling at some point Lebron rides home to Cleveland to win a title before retiring....they have Irving now and only need a decent piece or 2 more to be good, and with Lebron they could win it all.....
I don't think he'll go back, but I agree they would win.
Bigger question is can LeBron go back? How would that even be received?
If I was a betting man I'd bet he goes back to clev.. It is already talked about a bit.. And there is no doubt in my mind clev welcomes him back with open arms.. We are talking about the best player in the world.. You can't hold a grudge to that
Chandler's shooting improved a great deal from when he was at UF .
Oh F yea....BS report all day. He had David Lee on there about a month ago. I think Parsons was also recently.
winning cures all
There would probably be a vocal minority against it, buuuut I don't think Cleveland is in a position to turn down LeBron James.
I'm from Chicago and I hope he goes back there and beats the Bulls ass. I hate our cheap owner and horrible FO
How is Chicago's front office cheap?
I said cheap owner and horrible FO. FO can't be cheap. The bulls owner has made 275 mil in the 5 last years and won't go into the luxury tax. (Keep in mind the Bulls cost him 18 mil in the 80s). The Bulls are run like a small market team.

Hmmm, pretty interesting. Hovering right around that tax line at just over $74 mil. Ninth-highest payroll in the league. I see where you're coming from though. If they're making that much money then they can use some to get a player or two to make them a legit title contender when Rose gets back.
Exactly he refuses to pay it. The Bulls have a good team but there FO won't take a chance and make a move to make them great. The link Below kind of sums up a lot of my frustration with the organization. It's a good read.
