I think we need to hire a great wr coach and a qb coach. Pease is fine at oc but we need someone who's whole job is teaching driskel. And wr coach for obvious reasons....any ideas on either?
Let's get some OL in place first, and some WR's that can make an impact on a game. Then let's see what happens. Pease is a good QB coach IMO.
"Who was your source? Church mice in here....." - Coach Muschamp
There is not an open spot on our coaching staff. You can't just hire a QB coach.
How bout we try continuity with our staff for at least a full year before we make changes.
A bunch of athletes at WR
Give it time
This isn't a negative thread but a down vote already. You guys are a little up tight on this site aren't you. Let's make you happy delusional peeps.
Uf will never lose again. Happy? We need omprovemet at wr for sure and a wr coach is very needed. Qb coach as well. Never liked coaches doing multiple jobs..makes it easier on pease to just focus on gameplanning and execution and not doing another fifty hour job of qb coach as well. Guy who is hired as just qb coach can spend countless hours exclusively on improving one position...pease has to worry about the whole offense...not one position.
And agreed....our oline needs a ton of improvement....we can't block any form of stunt blitzes...thid oline looked awesome but has regressed considerably since lsu. Tyler Moore coming in and humpries getting a full offseason should help a ton though so I'm actually not as worried about oline next year. But wr we have to improvement because we quill always have talent there...we are Uf....wr is the one position we should always have 3-4 deep talent wise. Spurrier always did, Meyer did, even zook got great wide outs....we have them...dunbar with a good wr coach is a great wide out....positions well, gospel hands, good strength...we just need better coaching there.
How do we not have an open spot after Hill resigned? We have not hired anyone to replace him to my knowledge.
ryan, do not be foolish. There's many people on this site who are realistic. Personally, I don't see anything wrong with what the 2 people that responded to your OP said. Also, I didn't give you a DV, so sorry, but I'll hit you with an UV.
You are correct.
Again like I said. The OC and DC have to have a position group. You cant just have unlimited coaches.
The only thing up for true debate is the WR coach position.
Which I would like some continuity. We have had 4+ over 4 years.
I thought we had two spots open. Well with one open wr coach is def more important. Our offense regressed this year mid way through season. That is worrisome. The defense is elite and to me as good as any d in the country and young..but the offense really hasn't improved for three years now. When as fans do we say....okay this isn't right? I fully am behind pease....I love his gameplanning and he does call the game well despite what some seem to think...but his wide outs are never open.
I never thought responses were bad at all.
Good to see you over here fwiw.
Our O is going to look like dog shvt until we get an OL worth a fvck and 1 or 2 WR's that can break open a game. Right now, both are less than appetizing.
As soon as Hamden was hired as WR coach vs. GA Assistant we do not have any openings...
The scenario assumes that Hamden will not be retained or will go back to GA assistant, but if I were him and he was going back down I'd parley a year as WR coach at Florida into a real job somewhere.
So the assumption is that you'd have an opening with a need for WR or QB coach. Pease definitely will double up as QB coach and what it seems to me is that he and WR coach kinda coach as a unit for the WR and QB's as they are always practicing together anyway.
Beatings will continue until morale improves
We can't block the no name we are playing....wth. It's just crazy at this point. Since addazio stopped being just the oline coach our oline has been awful. The one place you need to be great on offense in th sec is oline...our defense is easily good enough to win every game if the offense ust scores 20 points....that is all we need...20 points...and we can't get it :(.
I dont think its coaching hnestly... I think its our interior play... just dont have the athletes. The good news is that we have immediate upgrades happening next season. Tim Davis is a great Oline coach... especially for the style we want to play. The Trojans have always raved about him as a coach years after he left.
I agree USMC, Davis is not the issue. It is the players. Our OL has been bad for how many years now, and we have same/similar personnel.
I hope so. Dunker will be a good guard I think and I think we have the tackles of the future with Moore and of course humpries. Inside we really do need more talent...we've recruited the big names....just no results from players like Wilson and patchan.
Those guys have struggled because of injuries.... our other interior players are... face it not big time players and have had little continuity in offense to become great players through mastering a single technique.
BUT, we do have Dunker coming in next season, most would assume that Garcia is another guard and I think another year for Humphries and Moore also with Green fighting for a spot at tackle we're looking at a very minimum an upgrade of talent. Assuming Davis goes no where, add in the most continuity in about four years for the guys and it HAS to be better.
left out Harrison returning at C as well... only helps the situation
rumor is they will stick with the GA as WR coach...not sure we need a WR coach as we just need better WR talent....my concern is that Davis may not be the answer at OL coach....how hard is it to find a good OL coach, really?
How is Davis not the answer? Our OL has been garbage for what, 2 years now, maybe 3. Look at all the guys that we still have on the OL that have started over the last couple years. Halapio, Harrisson, Wilson, etc. They're just no good.
More downvotes of delusioned tards. More proof of drastic need is today. Thanks for being idiotic homers though. I'll keep wanting improvement...you keep being morons with homer glasses so far up your ass they turn orange to brown though. I'll ask what is needed to improve. You think everything is perfect. Douches.
Why do you care about dv's/uv's? haha
It is really not that big of a deal man. I hear your concerns brah.
I up-voted ya.
Thanks lol...beer in me got a little angry there...yuengling shouldn't make such a fine product.
