Hunter played 4 snaps and Da'Rivk was just getting The offense down, he barely played as a freshman, as for what you said about all the freshman y'all played, we basically played as many true freshman as y'all last year, including 2 starting freshman LB's and 2 starting DB's as freshman
And not talking ish but it wouldn't be smart to blitz Bray and give Hunter/Patterson with one on one. Pay attention to Mychal Rivera, he should be a big part of the game plan
If we aren't getting pressure from the front 4 it is pointless not to blitz. I would bet they will dial that up often and it seems both sides are better in the passing as well as secondary, respectively.
I remember Bray doing well but he also threw a ton of bad passes when under pressure. As someone else mentioned the game will likely rest on whether or not tenn can actually stop Mike Gillislee.
Elam gets beat on that play 10 times out of 10 if the throw is good. That throw wasn't close to great, it was underthrown. Floated a little more to the back and it was an easy touchdown. That said, Elam had a terrific recovery after the miscommunication with Riggs on who had the slot guy.
I know, I know, I'm nitpicking...

A few responses so I'll make them one post to keep from filling your message board unnecessarily.
@GoldenGator - Not a Vandy grad, but not a UT grad either, I'm afraid. Just a lifelong fan that grew up just outside of Knoxville. Great post and great points. You going to be in Knoxville for the game? We're flying up from San Antonio with a couple of Gator friends (we travel to the game every year together - so far we're still friends...).
@ThisGatorTrain - I've lived a few years and have never ever been referred to as a "panty". Love it. I guess you have to go to classy boards for that kind of intellectual response. If you weren't nervous after BG, you weren't watching very closely. Even knowing that CWM was playing it close to the vest and keeping it VERY vanilla, you HAD to have been concerned about your execution. Credit to Champ, lots of polishing done between weeks 1 and 2. Even more credit to Champ for the halftime adjustments vs. the Aggies.
@Repartee - Don't be an idiot. That is just ridiculous. Everyone knows that Junior and Lulu don't leave the trailer park until Wednesday night. The station wagon can get them to a night game by then with plenty of time to spare if they leave then. And Junior and Lulu would never say whop. They would go to see the Vols "whup" the Gators. :-)
When was BG? Oh that was two weeks ago wasn't it? Turn the page.....this a dynamic game for most teams not UT these days.
And, Thank you very much, I've lived a few years also and I have a knack for proper verbiage.
and last but not least, you came to me, I didnt come to you. So quit being the quintessential panty and get ready for your boys to ball up.

aTM was also in the very first game of a brand new offensive line scheme with a brand new QB, great players but if they don't have all the schemes down on the line then they just aren't the same unit
ATM has likely the best OL outside of Alabama or LSU in our conference. Same for Christine Michael at RB against guys on those teams. Swope was the Jordan Shipley of the Big 12 last year.
They certainly had the schemes down but our defense was able to adjust.
Ah, so this is how flame wars begin... I'll pass, thanks.
Florida has one of the highest football IQ fanbases I have ever interacted with. Would rather have respectful conversation with the rational among you than get into a name calling competition.
If you'd prefer to discuss football, however, rather than undergarments, I'm in.
BG WAS two weeks ago, which was actually my point. What I was saying is that after that game, Tennessee fans felt pretty good about this matchup. I went on to credit your coaching staff for how the team responded in the next game and acknowledged that it gave me goosebumps watching the aTm game. Y'all looked much better, particularly in the 2nd half.
Not sure what was threatening, aggressive, or offensive about that. Quit wearing your feelings on your... Panties?
Just kidding, man.
Look forward to the game and continuing to interact with your fanbase on our board and yours!

Since we are being civil, my true feelings are this. If our Defense has turned the corner, then we can hols TN to 21 or less. Bray will be sacked 5+ times, and we will get at least 2 picks. If Mike G plays, and the defense does what I said, we win. If not, then it could be a war, or UT could actually light us up. I know they have 2 GREAT receivers, but our DB's have covered (very well) the likes of AJ Green and Julio Jones recently. That said, they have never had to cover both at the same time, so it will be interesting to say the least.
Winningest Program in College Football since 1990!
You quoted all of what I said, just to say that???
No doubt that line will be better later in the season, but it doesn't take from the fact, they were FAR better than UT last year and all starters returned. That OLine was a great test for Florida, and Tennessee's is not as good. The biggest question, is whether Tyler Bray can play mistake free under pressure and without a running game. The defense will have him on his heels all day and he'll certainly have some success. How many points will come from that success? How many interceptions will come from Bray airing it out? What new wrinkles will Champ/Pease have for this game? Will Gillisllee be ready to go, because we need him! Lots of questions and what-ifs...
Another point I didn't mention but has gotten some comments on here. Hunter is a proven talent at WR, and CP certainly looks the part though I'm not ready to sign off on him. However, Florida's CB's are very good in coverage (not necessarily tackling). Tennessee's WR's will have very few chances to catch a ball wide open without contest. Some will go their way and some won't. This is a great match up for both teams. And I'm not one of those who thinks our DB's are inferior to Tenn WR's (but I would love to have those WR's in G'ville). The Florida DB's are going to make life difficult, hopefully when it really matters and the game is on the line.

dont get passive aggressive. You wanna come talk trash, come talk trash just dont be a panty, get sore and get passive. I've got one wife for the last 22 years....I dont need another for a week until our boys line up. Thats three times for you now. Like I said, you came to me
Whatever it takes for you boys to feel you got a chance. I really am one of a few on here that likes Vol fans so I am all for you boys talking trash. Just not for talking trash, getting sore, becoming a panty, getting passive, getting sore some more and just being one huge big panty we have to deal with for a week until we fleece you

Um yea dude that's actually a BIG deal, we only allowed something like 9 sacks last year playing 3 QB's so I'd say our oline is better than ok against the pass rush, Bray actually throws very few picks, 41 td's to 14 picks in his career and most of those where in his freshman year, not to mention FLa won't be able to load the box against TN like they did against aTm because our recievers will be so hard to cover, especially with Riggs and Jenkins out. y'all aren't the 08 team and we ain't the 98 team, everyone should realize that this will not be a pretty game
You forgot the 05, 06, 07, 09, 10 & 11 teams
I went back and re-read my post. I can't, for the life of me, see how you read that breakdown as talking trash. Just analysis and I said as many positive things about your team as I did mine.
Now the end of that is a huge statement. This probably will not be a pretty game for either team. UT has trouble running(although we are better than last year but when you hit rock bottom you can only go up). Florida has trouble passing and the top RB for Florida has trouble all of us guys dread. UF does have a solid D. Will be top 10 D at the end of the year in my opinion. UT will be top 25 on D maybe top 15 if they are LUCKY. Should be a good game regardless.....
lol I wouldnt exactly call the 11 team stellar....
although against the vols on the other hand.....
right at 1:39
I think folks will like 6:03ish too

To my over sensitive Texas Vol fan, I lighten up on you and help with bunched panties. I can understand how you feel so I found the best one for you at 9:17
Aaaannnnndddd.... I'm still not gonna bite.
It's a simple plan for Florida really. If our running game can have success and we can keep the ball and keep the clock moving and actually capitalize by scoring a TD then that limits the time Tennessee can have the ball. All our D has to do is keep the plays in front of them and not give up big plays for TDs. UT has an offense geared for passing the ball and scoring through the air and their running game doesn't scare me at all. I think the score will be close but I think we come out ahead 24-21. We go ahead 24-21 and Tennessee is forced to kick a fg to tie it and their special teams fails them.
