According to Mike and Mike.
No surprise with this one.
Total waste of time for both parties. Why did they take him and then never use him? That whole exchange never added up. He should have chose Jax.
Yeah basically NY took Tebow and squandered any positive "hes just a winner" press Tebow had, to the point that now Tebow may not be able to get a job.
Beatings will continue until morale improves
I hope he gets a legitimate shot somewhere, he deserves it.
Think if he went 3rd or 4th round to a team like Washington, New England, or Seattle. His kiss of death was going first round to a coach who got canned early in the 2010 season. The media circus plus the bad management made him an NFL martyr.
I thought from jump street going to NY was a mistake. Although I think the Jets screwed him, the NFL is a totally different animal from college. They prey on bad quarterbacks. I love Tim and what he stands for but ultimately you have to consistently be able to throw an out route. I think he will land somewhere in the league whether at QB or HB or whatever, but with is personality and leadership I think he is a great asset.
In addition ESPN did Tebow no favors and even this morning still aren't.
He's a coach killer. Only shot is change of position. HB or bust. I think he'd be an amazing a HB.
I really think Tim can be successful in the right situation. Maybe he should consider going to the CFL or AFL to improve a little (Kurt Warner) and then come back to the NFL.
Just hate to see a good guy get so much negative press.
Why would he switch positions ? He took a crappy team to the playoffs and won a game. It's the Mania and the circus thats the problem.
Disagree, expectations are way too high because of his celebrity in the football world. This will only be his 4th year and he has shown improvement when given oppritunity. A second year QB loses in the second round of the playoffs to a Tom Brady and co. and loses his job to Peyton Manning then gets shipped to NY where he is pretty much held hostage for a year doesnt scream coach killer to me. What coach did he kill? Meyer? 2 national titles and a heisman say otherwise. McDaniels? went 3-9 and got himself fired Tebows rookie year. Its not Tims fault Josh and DEN drafted him, thats on Denver. Ryan? im not sure if he's can-proof or what but Tim rode pine, can't kill the coach from the bench. I think its a little more reasonable to label him a headache or a complicated situation but a coach killer? nah son
As for playing HB? haha wow, people are still trying to sell that BS. Well, I could maybe see as a third down short yardage back. He can move great north/south but he has minimal if any east/west ability aside from a demolishing stiff arm
He needs to go to a team with a solid QB that needs a back up where there will be no uproar for him to start when they tank. Sit, wait, get better and learn alittle bit and you'll get your chance. GB Atlanta and Baltimore come to mind
cant believe what im reading full back, h back, cfl stop it dude is a quarterback.. but again tim got pimped the well is dry there's not market I can only see 4 teams max that will give this a play Jacksonville,Arizona,Tennessee, and Cleveland
Tim should just go to New England and let Bill use him as he sees fit, perfect place for him
you need some coffee

If he really has improved his mechanics he needs to sign with Jacksonville. Not only would he sell tickets but he would be a talent improvment over Gabbert or Henne. Not to mention the protection that the Jags QB will get this year from Monroe/Joekel on the outsides would help him a ton with hesitating in the pocket and having more time. Run the read option with MJD and sprinkle in some reverses with Shoe Lace to go along with a very good WR core Blackmon/Shorts/Massaquai/Shipley/Sanders and an above average TE in Lewis, and youve got a chance to have a pretty good offense.
I agree Jax is the only place for him. It will see tickets and the qb play can't get any worse. Not to mention teams won't have to give up hardly anything to sign him. Hope he gets a chance
The circus that surrounded him at Denver and New York is not doing him any favors. He's been nothing but a class act, and he can't help the circus that develops, but I think teams are wary of bringing him in because of all the craziness that comes along for the ride.
If he stays in the NFL, it needs to be as a backup to an established veteran who is unquestionably the starter. Staying in Denver behind Manning would have done that. So would playing behind a guy like Brees, Brady or Rogers.
Billy the Kid, age 48,
5 SEC Championships,
2 National Championships...
For everyone saying he needs to go to Jacksonville to sell tickets, then you need to realize the Jaguars had the highest season ticket sales in the state as well as best attendance in the state. So he should go to the Bucs or the Dolphins since they have their games blacked out.
Tebow said he never had a choice between Jax and NY Jets.
Do you really think he'd have chosen NY's situation?
The Jets are a classless organization imo, for many reasons, not just the way they treated Tebow, especially at the end. They held onto him last FA, the draft, and UDFA, and in so doing have virtually guaranteed Tebow won't get picked up. The Jets are the only team in all professional sports that I despise, and this drama and selfishness exemplifies that Organozation's lack of character. Sorry if this offends in classy Jets fans; I know some. The Jets suck.
