I read somewhere that UF fans were outnumbered 15-1 by UofL fans in NOLA? Anyone down there confirm this? I am sure there will be MANY UF fans there by tomorrow night.... I was just curious! Go Gators!
We were outnumbered by Cincy fans too
IIRC our school is charging us twice as much per ticket as Louisville fans pay, so many Gators simply show up in NOLA and get cheap scalped tickets just prior to game time.
Were pulling out of pcola at noon today. Cant wait!!! Go Gators
this. Exactly what were planning on
Our fans are just smarter. There will be plenty of Orange and Blue in the stands. This is how it is when you're used to playing big games against elite teams. This game (even if we were to lose) is nowehere near the USCe, LSU, UGA, FSU, A&M games. That's just teh way it is.
Winningest Program in College Football since 1990!
Saw Gilly tweeting about the lack of gator fans there
It'll start changing today. Not sure a ton will show but should be about 20 to 25K Florida fans in the building IMO.
UF...ASSOC OF AMERICAN UNIVERSITIES MEMBER...3-TIME FOOTBALL NATL CHAMPION..2-TIME BASKETBALL NATL CHAMPION..31 ATHLETIC NATL CHAMPIONSHIPS!
It's not 15 to 1, but it's a significant enough difference to make you really notice it right now.
I will say this having been out downtown for several New Years Eves -- this was as neutral a crowd as I've ever seen. Meaning there weren't nearly as many college football fans here as there normally are. You would have barely known there was a game based on the overall makeup of college football fans to general crowd. That's usually not the norm.
Of course, the game being on Wednesday probably affects that, too.

We're heading down tomorrow morning. We did Nola for new years 2 years ago and the Arkansas-OSU crowds were pretty weak too.
Well, Marty said it was 100-1 Louisville fans last night. So maybe my perspective is skewed. It's definitely strongly pro-Louisville.
I was on Bourbon and around it from about 9 to 1:30 last night. It was not 100-1. It was maybe 10-1, though, which is still a lot.

There should be more LVille fans. Their tickets are half the price. They also get to play against a historic college in Florida.

would not want to be anywhere where there are so many of these people...
Love ya TG, but couldn't disagree more. Huge football style crowd in the French Quarter. Tons of Card fans...but the number of Gators is growing.
I'll say this...they are terrified of us. Think we are gonna beat them by 40.

We arrived today and its almost 50-50 at our hotel and the place we are now. Saw more Gator fans checking in just now; def not 100-1.
Just meant last night compared to other New Years / Sugar Bowl crowds. Haven't been out yet today because it's nasty out, but I imagine it's gonna get more of a football feel as more fans get here.
Def more of a game crowd out tonite. Even had couple of ville fans talking a lil smack which is kinda funny
Beatings will continue until morale improves
More Gator fans out tonight than last night but definitely outnumbered by the Cards. I have talked to several older fans that have been to the Sugar Bowl several times so they just don't do the Bourbon St./French Quarter thing. We should be ok come game time. We went to the Hornets/Hawks game tonight and saw big Al represent.

Just got in from bourbon st and its 50:1 cardinals
Appreciate all of you who made the trip down there! Just started a new job, or else I would have tried to be down there. Hope the Gator fans flood into NO today!
It was definitely at least 5:1 Louisville fans in the quarter last night. Also, I don't ever remember the crowd being that light the night before a Sugar Bowl, and I've been down here a handful of times for games over the past decade. Gonna be interesting to see what the crowd is like.
Looks like its getting more even now. Gator fans everywhere.
Scalpers are working in front of the dome in case anyone needs tickets.
Out and about today been from our hotel to uptown and now at Harrahs; considerably more ville fans than Gators. I understand all the reasons that hv been given for ppl choosing to watch from home but its disappointing to not hv better fan support for. BCS game and an outstanding team.
