Today reminds me how thankful we are that he will stay at Louisville and that he didn't accept the Vols job.

Today reminds me that he could, and maybe should have been our head coach.
Let's remember his records the first year at Louisville before we got Muschamp. Nobody had any idea, and right now all he's done is be co-Big East champs and have an upset over a higher ranked but not hungry team. We could be playing in the NC next year, and Louisville could lose 5 games. We have no idea, and Coach Boom has done a lot of good!
Winningest Program in College Football since 1990!
Lets remember he was our DC on two national title teams and huge in the recruiting of those two teams, and its not like we picked some highly proven head coach over Charlie in 2010, we picked another DC from Texas who also had never been an HC.
And, to be fair, just for discussion sake, what had Muschamp done in his 2 years? He is 18-8 with no titles. At least Charlie has won a title and beat us in the Sugar Bowl. Charlie is also 18-8, 11-2 this year, and won the Sugar, seems like a spot on comparrison to me.
I want this to work out for us in the worse way b/c I bleed orange and blue, but Boom got worked last night by Charlie in every way.
Oh well, I hope I'm given reason to sing a different tune this time next year. My disappointment after paying out over a 1,000 dollars in ticket, hotel, gas, blah blah blah to sit through that crap is very high today.
Co-champ in his 2nd(with a win at wvu the eventual bcs rep) and 3rd year with a Sugar Bowl notched in his belt in year 3 with a team of sophomores. Let's not also overlook that Strong inherited a Kragthorpian nightmare. Steve Kragthorpe destroyed in 3 years what took the Pipe, Smith and Petrino 20 to build. It's doubtful that Louisville loses 5, like I said, the team is comprised primarily of sophomores. I do think the SEC is Florida's to take next year.
