No, send it straight to the NCAA, not to Ole Miss' compliance office, whose primary function is to cover the school's ass.
Agree with this and would add don't slander the coaches or boosters. Things might be happening, but when folks win in recruiting or on the field, those who assume they are doing anything else other than working harder, coaching better or "having dominoes fall their way" should have a bit more ammunition than assumptions. Making stuff up without verification is for losers. Frankly I congratulate Hugh Freeze and his staff and hope they come in second to us.
The NCAA brought this on when they declared it legal for family, mentors/agents, and coaches to negotiate on behalf of the recruit as long as the recruit isn't directly involved. The Cam Scam changed everything as recruits don't have to be worried about being declared ineligible. Even if the bag man roles over, as long as the money went through a 3rd party, the recruit is safe. Since the NCAA has no supena power they really can't do very much unless a guy like Shapiro goes public and turns over evidence. Football is becoming more like Basketball every day, and I expect that the days where all of the HCs at the top high schools are driving BMWs is not far away.
Not being rude or anything but that ring on Treadwell's finger is his state championship ring he won this year! Even though nothing has been reported the Ole Miss staff have stayed on Tunsil through this whole process
Winningest Program in College Football since 1990!
This. I laughing every time I see a poster say this.
A 4th place finish in a divison excites multiple five stars away from programs like Georgia who went to SEC title game, FSU who won a bcs bowl...it makes perfect sense that five star recruits are excited to go play in a third world state in a tiny stadium with few nationally televised games and no trophy case anyone respects. It makes complete sense that a fourth place finish in a division does this for a program no big name recruits have really concerned themselves with. Whatever they are paying, it's working...good for them. Probably will work for 2-3 years before the NCAA wakes up(I mean somehow clemson is still going after the last few years).
Recruiting just doesn't work this way. Five star big names do NOT sign with nobodies(yes ole miss are nobodies). They don't...maybe one or two sign at a Cal or Miss State or Ole Miss or Louisville a year...but three or four looking at one of these schools? Sorry..but very basic common sense says they are cheating their asses off much more than the standard cheating. I'll congrats Ole Miss for a good season..but not going to say that a boy with obvious cheating. I will just assume Ole miss fans haven't payed much attention to recruiting since they have never really been major players if they think Freeze is doing this without a lot of help from the famous kite flyer.
This. Rival fans think all other schoos cheat to get top players. Clemson, Aub,Ore, Ole Miss etc all must be doing something to get top players. Just because a kid didn't pick a SEC power doesn't mean a school is cheating.
I doubt anything is slander as it has to be knowingly untrue. Also does twitter and message board count as slander or libel?
