...as defensive coordinator to replace Gus Bradley. Here's Adam Schefter's tweet.
Adam Schefter: There is a "strong possibility" Florida DC Dan Quinn will return to Seattle to replace Gus Bradley as DC

Not to go all swampchomp615 here, but I said all along we'd be lucky to get him back for 2013 once the NFL coaching carousel actually picked up. He's a fantastic coach and the people who say this is Muschamp's defense or that it will be no big deal don't know what they're talking about.
Hope we somehow keep him, but if not, promote Durkin and let's keep moving forward....
Is it not Champ's defense?
Winningest Program in College Football since 1990!
Always thought 'hawks were more of a landing spot than Philly or Jax.
Thanks for the 2 years DQ! IMO this was coming once Durkin turned down other jobs. DC in-waiting.

Champ has got a list of coaches in his desk.
"You're not a good guy, you go somewhere else. We'll play you. We'll beat you."
Agreed, and I'm not 100% convinced that Durkin will take over.
Yup he's a goner
LORD FORGIVE ME FOR THE GOON DADDY IS COMING OUT TONIGHT
In that case, we can kiss Durkin goodbye...
guess it's too much to ask that we have one year w/o any staff turnover. I know CWM wants his guys to get better jobs but damn!
I Quinn stays, him leaving would def be felt on the field. With that said, he is probably as good as gone. What are the chances it drags out until after signing day? If we're going to lose a great coach, gotta hope we can keep him here until after the first wednesday in february

Goons belong in hockey.
Hmm, this is kind of surprising to me because Carroll has his last DC from USC on staff as the passing defensive coordinator or something. Thought he would have been next in line.
I'm not sure the writing is on the wall about Quinn leaving, I obviously won't be shocked if he goes.. But i'm not so sure he does
Why is it GUARANTEED that our play will suffer? Wasn't Muschamp one of the best DC's in all of Football? Don't you think he's gonna demand the same excellence?
what Zookers doing these days
I like the Chiz to DC opinion, that would be very interesting. Talk about having a recruiting powerhouse staff!! I didn't like Chiz as a HC, but he was an elite DC, and a ridiculously good recruiter, so I wouldn't be mad at all to have 3 SEC head coaches on staff!
He could recruit, I will give him that
I wouldn't mind that
So Quinn leaving won't have any effect? I am giving praise to the job Quinn has done so far, turning Florida into a top 5 defense. Obviously Muchamp has his hands on somethings with the defense, but this was Quinn's defense. It's moronic to think coaching turnover doesn't/won't effect a program. Gator fans should know this much first hand with the declining play of the offense under CUM.
In a lot of cases yes, but Muschamp was one of the best DC's in the SEC (Country) and knows what great D look like. CUM was not an elite OC anywhere, so that is apples and oranges. Champ will find the right guy, and we will continue to have elite defense's. I have zero doubt about that.
