Alright, who you guys got as of now for POY?
My top 5 would have to be -
5) K.Caldwell-Pope / T.Releford
Really hard to stick any of our boys in the top 5 just because of the way we play as a team not one player really puts up big numbers

Wilbekin is not no player of the year you guys.
it's tough for me...because i don't think there has been a stud that has carried their team...i would say Releford but he came up empty when his team needed him the most...Nerlens would have been it before the injury...Henderson faded after his "AU" storyline...Pressey was shut down to often in games........i don't know?!?!?
If Henderson is the POY, he would be the worst POY in the history of major conference basketball. Frankly, I have no idea who it is. Pressey, I guess.
If he's not why is Pressy?
Noel is my choice.
Shelve the award this year and give out 2 next year. Simple

Like Jimmy Dykes said " You can make a case for Rosario as POY".....Leading scorer During SEC play for the best team in the conference...I say give it to my boy "White Mike"
Pat Young has had games worthy of SEC POY but has been far to inconsistent stat wise. If I had to pick the best player in the SEC and took into account all the things that don't show up in the scorebook then I would 100% pick Pat.
A big reason his numbers are low - rebounds - he is always using his body blocking out the opposition which is vital when you play 3 guards and are already at a disadvantage. Points - we lack a true PG who can get the ball down low. Pat doesn't get enough touches/looks.
Positives - hustle, runs the floor as hard as anyone, defense. If we played with a traditional lineup and our PF wasn't a stretch 4 Pat would have better #s

This. There is obviously no stand out for POY so why wouldnt someone like Rosario on the best team in the SEC be right there to win it.. You could really make the case for Rosario, Murphy, and Scottie in one way or another.
Someone refresh my memory.Does the SEC tourney factor into this ? Or is voting done by then ?
You need to stop it, that list is crazy
I'm fine if he gets it , Caldwell Pope is the truth
He has the numbers, but I don't know if him being on a shitty UGA team will hurt him. I think he is the best player in the SEC though.

Caldwell-Pope is averaging 18 points a game, 7 rebounds, 2 steals, and 2 assists.
Henderson is pretty good, McRae owned us as well.
Noel doesn't have the offense to be POY.
Pressey is good but i don't think he is as much a game changer as Henderson can be. Bowers on Mizzou is what beat us, not Pressey.
I would say Henderson, KCP, Pressey, or McRae.
If team performance had nothing to do with it then KCP would be POY hands down
Yeah. KCP is the best player in the conference.
