I want to start off by stating this isn't a stir thread bc I love our record, direction of team and believe Pease is a great fit for UF. With that said, looking back at a few presser over the year I can't help to wonder if the real issue isn't Muschamp.........
From JSU presser: "I felt like, in the second half, we had the game under control defensively. We could have done some more things offensively, and I just told Brent, I said, ‘Let’s go win the game. Let’s get out of here and win the game.’ That’s what we needed to do. That wasn’t on Brent; that was on me.”
I've read on another site that CWM gives him a % of total running/pass plays for a game etc...What's the point of having an OC if you don't allow him to call his game plan?

Just playing devil's advocate here, but it would not surprise me at all if Muschamp was just taking the poor offensive performances on the chin. Trying to take the focus off of Brent.
When you talk about our offense' struggles, you really don't have to look any further than the big uglies.
"Who was your source? Church mice in here....." - Coach Muschamp
This was my thought as well when I heard that comment from the press conference on the radio Saturday afternoon driving back from the game.
I think this is true. Great head coaches take the blame. I love the fact that Will does this.
The only good thing that came come out of games like saturday etc is for us not to get anyone hurt. I think they are just trying to shorten the game as much as possible (running the ball to move the clock) and get out of there
But in your defense, I would like to see something different as well. Just my take on why they may be doing that

I agree that the OL play has been poor ever since the LSU or SC game but just reading a few presser where Muschamp has stated something similar twice before...could be him taking the heat of Pease and O. Just something that stood out.

Yep, he is the OPPOSITE of Jimbo Fisher (throws his players under the bus constantly)!
What if Pease wants to throw it around in the 2nd half, and Muschamp is saying don't be stupid? It's hard to argue with 10-1. "You are what your record says you are" - Bill Parcells
Winningest Program in College Football since 1990!
Champ said we are pretty healthy, so I am glad we are going in at close to full strength (minus Patton)!
